I remember that i first saw this info from PMDG on Facebook stating as the 777 is just around the corner. So we just need to hear how big this corner is

Hopefully not too big, the LR is quite a big bird! ;-)

Totally agree i think the 777 is closer than they r saying. I dont know about beta, but i remember robert saying in december that they had conpleted the milestone of modelling the FBW and that the next major step was to pass it on to their technical team (whom will begin beta testing I presume) but shouldnt take long as they done alot of 'pre-tetsing' and what with PMDG saying "around the cornner"

Well since we'll know nothing about the testing phase, the next big news I see is a release. I don't expect many photos of it prior to release. Rather wait it out with nothing, then get as many screenshots as we like, in our own simulator's :P Anyway dude, better stop talking about this before we get the good old "It'll be longer, don't take words to seriously" - yarda yarda. Respect that many aren't that optimistic, but we're not exactly being unrealistic here talking about something coming out in the following month(s). I find it fun and exciting talking about this, because that's all we're doing here! We're just fans building the excitement  Excitement gets shown through people in different ways

Soon man, soon ^_^

My view is Robert should tell everyone "sit down, shut up, and get to work". It'll get things moving and they can move on to bigger and better things. If they give us screenshots and videos of stuff, there's no surprise. I'd like to be able to be surprised the first time take the captain's seat.

I wouldn't say that. There could be more updates before release. Though, if I remember correctly, the beta testers sign NDAs and they can't say anything about the T7 until they get the green light. So, in effect, unless Robert, Ryan and the others say different, we would technically never know where exactly the T7 is. But I do have my suspicions as to where it may be...

With the release of the NGX, PMDG stated they had taken extra time with it so they could develop a process which would streamline the development of future projects. It appears that they haven't done as much streamlining as we hoped. However, I do think that there will be three and maybe four really nice releases bunched together as early as next month. NGX BBJ, T7, Cloudmaster, 747v2. The more I think about it, I am probably more psyched about the 747v2 than any others. But they will all be groundbreaking.

Not as streamlined as we hoped, yes. Pmdg - and moreso, this community - tends to be a bit optimistic about release dates if you look back at history...

We all know it's cos pmdg likes to get it right, and we all want the next beautiful jet 'right now!'

I disagree. The screenshots and previews are what tell us the customers exactly what we are gonna get and justifies the amount of money we will be spending on the 777. Imagine you bought the 777 and it turned to be less realistic/pretty than you were led to beleive in the forums. I know its PMDG and that is unlikely but still they are a business and product promotion and advertising is very important its how they get ppl aware of their stuff

True we will most likely never be told anything about testing. That the thing robert said in december about the 777 being passed to the technical team is prolly all we will hear. as for previews, I assume we will be flooded with them a week or so before release and not longer because PMDG and we forum ppl know how unsafe it is to throw preivews out and then go quiet for a long period of time. In other words, previews will mean its REALLY CLOSE, as in short final

Hey guys, this must be a joke!!!! They are way behind scedule with the 737NGX videos and you think they will be ready with a 777 video series soon? Unfortunately I have NO trust in AoA any more after 2 years of lies from Chris Palmer.

That's a little harsh, don't you think? Lies? Hmmm..I think if you look through the various threads they have actually responded to on this very same subject, they had their issues, same as any small business..It's about managing expectation and they were very bad at it..Things have got better though..NGX Groundwork was finished very fast after they came clean regarding the issues they had with it. I didn't buy any more from them yet as I didn't need it.. but I will definitely be buying groundwork for the T7..They are just trying to run a business..They gave refunds to those who couldn't wait for whatever it was they bought and hadn't got...I'm no AoA a really excited user, but I think accusing them of lying is a little unfair (and a bit cheap unless you give them right of reply) just my h'apenworth

LOL - Why has the forum changed the word f4nboy to "a really excited user"? Is it a swearword now? love this place, really I do

I replied to this post before it was lost last week.

Basically my view is that the people who purchased AOA's 737NGX training from the start for $80 (like myself) who were kind of expecting some form of training to coinside with the release of the 737, should be allowed free access to the first 777 Flightwork flight. It's the least they could do.

I'm not saying the actual content they have delivered is poor - far from it, its excellent, but having paid the full price I found myself having to trawl youtube for tutorials on how to fly the 737 while AOA where 'pumping' out videos every 3-4 weeks on fire extinguishers and other exciting stuff like that.

As we know it's only now that a 'flightwork' video set has been released and with the 777 and FSLA320 both about to be born, its all a little bit too much too late.

Maybe Chris has learnt a lot from the 737 training fiasco, but it still leaves a bitter taste feeling like we have been used as 'beta' clients for something that at the time was too big for them to handle efficiently.

Access as I've suggested may well gain back some missing confiedence in AOA from a lot of the original customers of the 737NGX training.

I've obviously not been burned as much as you, Phil. I paid something like $40 for Groundwork (I don't remember now but it sure wasn't $80). I still refer to it on my iPad from time to time and, waiting aside, I felt it was a good series. Nothing I couldn't really have found or learned from other sources, but I liked it nonetheless. I didn't/don't need "flying training" from AoA for the NGX; I got two absolutely fantastic tutorials from Ryan that "taught" me how to fly the NGX and I read the manual too..I'm not defending their release schedule, either..I just felt the word "lies" was a bit harsh and should be commented on by themselves...It sounds like those that bought the whole package bought the farm, but I can't comment on that as I didn't buy it. I do agree with your sentiments regarding the NGX payees benig given some kind of advanced/reduced/free access to the T7 stuff, but perhaps they need to recoup some of the refunds they gave? Who knows..

Ok let´s see it this way.

If you have a deal with a carpenter and he PROMISES you that he will do a job for you within three days and it takes 2 months before he shows up, what would you call that? AND if he in the meantime tells you 10 times that "I will be at your place not later than tomorrow"? This behaviour repeats time after time during two yeras , for every project you have contracted him for. I have been a lawyer for over 30 years and I KNOW when a lie is a lie. If you want to use a different word for it, be my guest. I HAVE brought this up with Chris, both on a personal level and in his formus but the anwers have ALLWAYS been smokescreens.

The refund was a joke. It was valid for 30 days after your purchase but a lot of people prepaied for the 737NGX and the first episode was NOT releast before that promise was not valid any more!!!

I have NO objections to the videos, except for the first 10, that were VERY poor PowerPoint presentations. I have ALL of AoA.s releases and like them very much, but that is NOT the point it´s the promises, smokescreens, delays and delays. I think it is a smack in the face for all 737NGX customers to jump to a new project before all the promises for this project are fullfilled.

I have no interest in carrying this discussion any further, but we all have the right to express what we feel. I you still have faith in AoA, that is fine, I don´t!

When AoA announced the 737 training package, it was presented as a package that would come out in a few months.

I paid for 737 flightwork two years ago,and i am still waiting.

Tell me, who waits two years for a product, profesional or not, already paying for it, while the last message about flightworks dated jan. 2012.

And now you are kindly asked to order some 777 package!!

I cannot believe this.......!!!!
