January 17, 201313 yr I never bought the NGX training purely based on the feedback I was reading here. If it was my business then for all those who had paid and didnt get a refund I would be giving them the whole 777 course for free as a way of thanking them for supporting my company by waiting and not getting a refund. Hence leaving me with the financial resources to start a new product ie 777
January 17, 201313 yr I posted this before but it got lost. It maybe wasnt the right business model to release only part of the package and the videos much later while asking for a full payment, but Chris made it clear throughout the difficulties he ran through. And recently last week he came clean with the whole thing in challenges that happened with resources and team members. Sometimes things dont work out the way you had hoped. Im sure he learned from it. And I challenge you to make the quality videos that have come out of there with powerpoint. But if your going to stick to your motto of not having any understanding, then go revisit the current Boeing fiasco and the 787. Then go ask their customers about their currently grounded fleet how they feel. And they didnt pay $80 for their product. Yet Boeing had delay after delay after promises promises. Now they have APU battery issues. But Boeing is not going to cower in a corner. In fact they are standing by their product, while internally learning from their mistakes. and I respect Chris for humbly accepting the heat, but standing by his product and commited to getting it done. May have not been the best situation, but business learn and improve and move on. I suspect that the T7 training will be even better than the NGX. What company doesnt want to improve their previous product including how it was launched. January 17, 201313 yr Just a little perspective Here's my perspective (that I already posted on AoA forum): "Time to reflect. What has happened in the last 15 months? Bought the 737 captain package ($80), thought about having a baby, had a baby, baby got her first teeth at the age of 4 months. Oh, I almost forgot! First 737 flight video was released and none of the content for the captain package." I still stand by these words (even though they sound quite bitter). Lets just say that I didn't take the 777 news well. I just wish I would have slept on it. I might have been able to express my thoughts/feelings better. Having said that and having read Chris' mail on this topic (that unfortunately was erased during database restoration), I do believe in giving a second chance. I have owned all AoA videos and more than likely, I will be buying the 777 training. January 17, 201313 yr People seem to forget when they did purchase the product there was a disclaimer saying the product will be released in stages no where did it say what dates and time frames. I can only assume you didn't purchase this from release Peter with a 'red tape' disclaimer comment like that Phil Mosley - Rotation Films http://youtube.com/rotationfsx @RotationFilms
January 18, 201313 yr I can't believe I'm posting on this subject AGAIN. It's the main reason I haven't been on the forum for nearly two years. All this bashing is just a pointless waste of time. It doesn't change anything and certainly won't get you a free T7 training package. I pre-purchased the Captain's Package and was fully aware of the fact that it would take time to release the videos. It took longer than expected. Not what I would have wished for, but there you go. S*** happens. I have little time these days to fly, so i spend it flying rather than whining. I suggest you do the same  Ed Haslam
January 18, 201313 yr To HighTowers.... I assume that you mean that "other companies do the same" justifies the AoA behaviour, or? So in my line of business (lawyer) I could use that in the court when I am defending someone and say "other people do/have done this, so it must be accepted and my client should be released as not guilty". IMHO I think that AoA has lost a lot of potetial customers and only the deciples will prepay for the 777 package. Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain

IMHO I think that AoA has lost a lot of potetial customers and only the deciples will prepay for the 777 package. I never implied it justifies it. It was an example that xxxx happens. Not the way you intended. Boeing didn't intend to have over 2 year delay on the dream liner. Customers r not going to take Boeing to court. There may be something in the contract to make up for the delay expectations who knows. But when I bought the captains package, as people said above, the desclaimer specially said it would be released in stages. Its unfinished. With no date. AoA had unforseen things come up that delayed it further. So while disappointing, I waited patiently. Videos are being completed. If they never delivered anything that's different. Now they said all groundwork videos would be done for release as well as some flight work. Clearly he learned from the experience. They produce excellent quality videos for visual learners. I'm personally not to excited to read a 3000 page manual for the T7 but I want the most realistic way of flying the aircraft with proper procedures and knowledge when I fly it. To each their own. Its past. Move along. Focus on what's ahead of you instead of bashing the past. Its been dealt with. Its why we have very large windows in the front of our cars and a very small rear view mirror. Take care. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
January 19, 201313 yr Think this topic is getting ofcourse.. Surely them announcing the 777 tutorials means the PMDG 777 is relatively close? Marc M.
January 20, 201313 yr Much better to watch tutorials on youtube. They provide the same information unlike the pointer in AoA is an airplane.
