All those manuals come as pdf-files with the program, anyway, except the posters and schematics. So no need to spend any extra money, unless of course, you want them printed.

So long,

The tutorials by PMDG and on YouTube are probably the most friendly. AOA training videos are also friendly and reliable, but seem to be released extremely slowly.

Almost all of the information you need regarding the FMC is in the second volume of the FCOM. The first volume contains information about how the FMC fits into normal procedures. You can always try looking online for PDF versions of real training materials. A popular web site for these is SmartCockpit.

We'd love to have you on board with us. If manuals and text training are your thing, then go for the free stuff. If video training is your thing, I'd suggest you check us out.

You won't be getting accurate information from Youtube.

Good luck in your endeavor!

I can't be in all places at once. If you see someone is having an issue with an Angle of Attack product, or something that should be brought to my attention, please message me. I want everyone to have a stellar experience with AOA. Thanks so much!

Eh? There's a lot of good info on youtube

Eh? There's a lot of good info on youtube

This is just one of many examples: I was watching a Youtube video the other day and the guy had started his engines at the gate before even doing the FMC setup. I'm sorry, that is completely incorrect. This happens all the time. The information is rarely accurate, and not of very high quality.

Anyone can make a video sharing what they know. But to make a very high quality video, with verified and solid information, that's a completely different story.

Agree, AOA is the very best, if you got the do' :)

I have bought 737, 747 and the MD-11 training from them. It does not get any better.

But look for Youtube videos from Skysurfer007, aka Berni. RW pilot who makes great NGX videos.

Morten

I also agree. If you want to raise your standard of learning with the NGX, to a professional level which simulates what the real pilots are doing, AoA is the way to go.

Believe me, there is more information on AoA with the NGX, right now, than you could absorb in a few very focused months.

It is much harder to get rid of bad habits picked up from learning the wrong way, than to learn from scratch the correct way.

Of course, if you want to just get started flying, the tutorials that come with the NGX will do that for you.

I am going to get the captains package tomorrow. Hopefully will transfer the vids onto one of my ipads for viewing in bed. I learn easier at night than day

AoA is top- notch. Glad we are finally at the meat of the videos, Flight!

Hi,

If all you want to learn is programming the FMC, then the B737NG FMC User's Guide by Bill Bulfer is a good buy.
