February 24, 201313 yr Believe it or not, we actually already had this idea internally - there's going to be an "FO performs step climbs" option because we realize people aren't going to be sitting at the computer for as long as the 200LR can go for. In real life it is not fully automated, you have to roll the MCP alt up to the new altitude and press the knob to initiate a CRZ CLB, just like on the NG. All you guys saying we'd never do this - you're wrong. That's awesome! Would be very useful for those ultra long flights, and I would imagine that would be useful for programming FS2Crew as well. Will manual fuel pump changes (e.g., "When the FUEL LOW CENTER message shows, set both CENTER FUEL PUMP switches to OFF") still be required? I currently do not perform long-haul flights, so I am not familiar with such procedures.
February 24, 201313 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the information. I currently do not perform long-haul flights, so I am not familiar with such procedures. I'd have to check to be sure but fuel management may be completely automated on the 777 in real life. I haven't dug into that just yet (the coders have though, I'll ask) Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
February 25, 201313 yr I'd have to check to be sure but fuel management may be completely automated on the 777 in real life. I haven't dug into that just yet (the coders have though, I'll ask) On both of the Air Canada Justplanes videos I have (torronto-narita and vancouver-sydney) the crew has to push the two centre fuel pump switches off when the "Fuel Low Centre" EICAS message comes up. I guess none of these people will refrain from buying the "unrealistic" PMDG T7 anyway ... What happened to AVSIM
February 25, 201313 yr Ha! I remember a few people in this thread stating this option is not realistic. I guess none of these people will refrain from buying the "unrealistic" PMDG T7 anyway ... As long as it doesn't force us into looking at unrealistic things in the FMS unless we want to go to the Menu>Simulation Options menu and enter the "First Officer makes step climbs" option and do it from there. To have it available in the PERF INIT or VNAV/ECON CRZ page would be annoying. February 25, 201313 yr A new (indirect) way to request for updates? Pfft - me? me? Like I'd do that, out of all people! B) All seriousness, they've been ''talking'' about so much for a year that it'd be nice if they'd put their money with their mouth is. There's only so long you can keep a 25 degree pitch angle before the aeroplane stalls and plummets to the ground, even with 230,600lbs of thrust  - Luke Pabari
February 26, 201313 yr Try waiting for the NGX since it was announced. For those of us that checked the forums everyday for new updates on that one our patience paid off in a big way. Chuck Biggins
February 26, 201313 yr Impatience and releases don't combine well. Those fine planes that have been pushed out so far make a fine hangar already. Lots of planes to play with until an even greater plane will be released. What happened to AVSIM

February 27, 201313 yr Ha! I remember a few people in this thread stating this option is not realistic. I guess none of these people will refrain from buying the "unrealistic" PMDG T7 anyway ... And those people were correct it wasn't realistic. Nothing Ryan said was about realism. If PMDG choose to provide it for those who are only present at the beginning and end of flights then fair enough, as long as I don't have to see it when I use the VNAV.
February 27, 201313 yr So there will be a 777 with a working VNAV, finally??? What happened to AVSIM
