Wait till he finds out he wasted 10 bucks to find out that all he needed to do was increase his LOD! Now he can add back in his auto-gen and also all the seasonal textures!

I found this whole post halarious when I realized he was seiously thinking he was flying in MSE deleware. I'm sure he felt bad when he realized the idioitic post he made in a public forum. But come on dude grow a thicker skin, no one was mean sprited, it was just funny. At least to me.

 

I own a bunch of MSE sceneries and they're alright in some cases but fall and winter months, they still show summer textures and thats not very realistic to me. I can acheve the same if not better results with UT and GEX in same area.

I can sympathize. I remember installing a few addons and wondering whether they were active or not. I'm just glad I didn't ask...

Thanks for the responses. I've been using GEX for quite sometime and have been more than satisfied with it. Like others I've looked at MegaScenery but have never purchased.

Ok, I'm new beyond belief here, but I have to respond to that, and say that calling someone idiotic, for a genuine and simple mistake is totally off balance and inappropriate.

I can not understand why such a small community like simulator environment is basically going to have to ###### (s'h'i't) out a simmer who have made ​​a small mistake, it's way over my better judgment.

I agree 100% with you an the OP. He just made a mistake an people here instead of helping him they take it as joke. When someone comes new to the FSX you can't expect them to know it all. If you expect the flight simulation community to grow more an more , making fun of people mistake is not going to do that.

I have had other mega scenery. Hawaii,Reno,Tahoe,Washington State,complete.and Dallas FtWorth. I really like them and decided to purchase 2.0 Tennesee. Spent some time tweaking and followed the tweaks and I really like the 2.0 version better. I will be purchasing more of the 2.0 in the future.

 

Correction to above. I still have my other mega sceneries installed. No autogen in 2.0 looks better to me especially above 5000agl.The only drawback I see is that slider changes between the different sceneries need to be made.

C'mon folks - play nice! Not a shining example of the FS community and helping each other going on here.

Raul hasn't been very nice to us (AVSIM staff) to say the least, but at the same time no one deserves a public mocking for making a honest mistake and we're not going to allow that - it can happen to anyone and anyone can have a bad day.
