Looking great A2A! Now guessing on the model lol. It is not an N...the landing lights are on the wing. Could be a P or Q (depending on engine), but looking at the door latch looks like a newer generation model such as an R or S. Older 172s had the old square latch

Newer models have the longer retangular latch

If we could get a screenshot of the under wing area, you can tell by the number of fuel sump points by the door. Old models just had the single fuel sump point per wing, new models have 5 sump points per wing if I recall.

Cheers

My first thought was, "Who cares about a picture of the real airplane? Show us what the A2A version looks like!" Then, "Oh my...."

I am SO ready for this one.

Have to be honest, that looks like a render to me from an external program. Not to say it won't be nice looking, but perhaps not that nice (as the picture) looking once it gets in FSX.

It may well be, considering it's the maintenance hangar. As long as the external views look good in screen shots, I'm happy, and there's no reason to think they won't.

Can't wait! Will be a great craft to fly over FTX Global in.

Who cares about the external! I wanna see cockpit!

Considering the info above and the wheel covers used, I am willing to guess that A2A is going all out and making it a G1000 version, knowing A2A's FDE accuracy and attention to detail and graphics that easily match Carenado's best work, we can expect this 172 to be the NGX of the Flight Sim community.

Oh please no, not a G1000...

I'm hoping for steam gauges myself.

+1 more for steam. Won't buy it if it's glass.

Yup. Glass is a no go for me too...

My guess is they would go with steam...that way they can pretty much use gauges they have already built, and easier crossover to their other GA projects...less development time, tho being a 'next gen' 172, it would give them a platform to try the G1000 later if they chose.
