Dang, I was wishing for a much older model, like an F or an L...oh well, as long as it isn't glass, I'll buy it.

They will model the airplane to whatever version they have access too, that's what makes A2A addons so unique, they're exactly like their real counterpart. But I'm pretty sure it's not going to be a G1000, they only do things to match 100%, and to do a proper G1000 simulation would take WAY too much of their time!

I will only buy it if it has a G1000, otherwise its a no-go for me. There is absolutely no G1000 C172 for FSX and the default is crappy. Plus steam is too old for me :P

Happy Landings,
Gareth Scott (GCS)

I seriously doubt it will be G1000. That's just not their style.

Im just going off the model, A2A is known for making the aircraft custom, and I too would prefer steam gauges with a bendix king nav/com system. Perhaps they will go above an beyond and make both variants available?

I'm also hoping for analog gauges. If (and it's a huge IF) they could do a close to full G1000 I'd consider it, but I can't imagine they'd focus their efforts there. Anything less and it's just pretty images. I don't own an A2A plane, but my impression is that pretty faces is not what they're about.

That said, it's really their Cherokee line that I'm looking forward to.

Gauges for me too. I am looking forward to this release. It has to be a must have!

Kind Regards

My guess is that if it is the hangar maintenance, then it is only a drawing and not the actual FSX model?

Comparing to their previous products, Hangar maintenance seems to be a artwork. What do you think? If that's the case, then we can not judge by that picture...

By the way, I fly C172 6 hrs per day and I used to see the ones in our fleet always tail low attitude when sitting on ground but it seems nose heavy from the picture. It might be due to the angle of the picture.

Best regards,

Pierre Laine

I have no doubt the FSX model will be as good as the rendering. This is A2A we're talking about here.

Oh yea I want the G1000 since I have easy access to fly one in RW.

Did they not mention somewhere else that it would be steam gauges? I'm afraid I don't remember where I saw it, but they did say that they prefer to model the steam gauges as they are better on frame rates and look nicer

Either way, I really hope it isn't a G1000, the ultimate unreadable frame-rate killer, and so far the cockpit in their Lancair with the clear gauges is my favourite. Carenado's latest offerings aren't usable for me, and I find the G1000 difficult to read.

Think you're confusing A2A and RealAir - It's RealAir who make the Lancair, not A2A.

Steam or glass, that's A2A. I'll take it on release day no matter the Cessna 172 variation modeled.

A2A is one of not so many developers, I always trust from release date. I have never read any review, never follow lengthy discussions about pros and cons regarding their new products. And I cannot remember regretting my purchase from A2A.

I can agree 100%. They sure are passionate about what they do. It shows in there products. One of the best FSX developers out there.

Kind Regards

Simon.

Steam or Glass sounds dont matter long as it runs good and is smooth. Perfer the retro type cessna with the steam gauges and ashtrys, and 70s cockpit look the old times. Bigger thing is it runs good on my computer.
