My Work/Fun office.

Doesn't really qualify as a cockpit but it gets me by with hours of enjoyment ... starting a night flight out of KSFO with the BAe 146-200.

Wow nice! How much did it all cost you?

That's tremendous. I've only got a joke, throttle one screen and a mouse.

That is completely impressive. For the first time, I actually saved a picture from this forum on my computer.

Do you also have a stewardess to serve you coffee and other goodies?

Looks great!

All I need to match your setup is a throttle quadrant, radio stack, console panel, high end keyboard and mouse, whatever the blinking thing under your desk is, fancy multi-monitors, etc. hehe

I do have Flight Sim Commander ! Nice setup.

Sadly I make all my own coffee and even make it for my wife ... she refuses to fly the heavy's with me as my landings can be somewhat bad at times and she calls my company "Air Vomit". ;)

The GoFlight modules I've accumulated over the years - maybe $1500 worth?? ... certainly not on par with some of the excellent cockpit builders here, but the unit slides out of the way when I need to use my computer for other work.

The second monitor (smaller one) is connected to two computers and I switch between DVI 1 and DVI 2 on the monitor, depending which computer I want to  display ... the center monitor is dedicated to my main computer (FSX, P3D, XP10).  In this shot I'm running FS Commander on a 2nd computer using WideFS to connect to FSX ... it's the cheaters way to make sure I go from A to B correctly and don't hit any other AC on route :)

I have a cheap $9 pen LED that is attached to the GoFlight unit that I turn on as a panel light in case I forget where a button/function is on the GoFlight ... make sure I don't accidentally turn off my Avionics!

But I don't see many "screenshots" of people's computer/sim setups so thought I do something a little different.

The thing attached under the desk to the left (above the computer) with the green LEDs is actually a custom made USB switch box.  The GoFlight modules use A LOT of USB hubs and I have other USB devices and sometimes they don't all always get along with each other.  So I needed a way to physically turn the USB devices/hubs On/Off (rather than physically plugging and unplugging them) ... this USB switch box was actually made from a used Cisco router cabinet (gutted it out and put in all the USB stuff).

Great idea. I could use one of those. I wouldn't mind seeing a schematic with parts list and stuff. You may have a good product for sale. All of the USB hubs I've seen are lacking in one or more features I need.

Sorry Dennis, don't really have a schematic ... I did make a basic concept diagram.

The cost to make it including parts and labor was out $450-$500 ... not many people willing to pay that kinda cash for a rather simple device.  It's just one of those custom projects that has no market potential -- I knew that before making it a reality.  It's a pretty cool device as it allows a central location for hooking up all my USB devices/hubs and then they can be shared across two computers (but not at the same time).

The images are so dark (on my screen) that I can't see the dust bunnies, and I KNOW you got dust bunnies. I would not dare show a photo of my office...

Oh man, this is giving me some ideas. How great would it be to get all those usb items coralled into one convenient solution. Between your concept drawing, my EIMB, and google, I think I could DIY one of these things.

I like the illuminated pedestal and the neatly organized shelf!

Looks beautiful, but Tom has a point, we can't see the dust bunnies... And we all know how cute bunnies are...

Come on Tom, share with us ... I do have cat hair every where ... ugh.
