A pic of my PMDG NGX Simulator cockpit...

Featured Replies

I thought folks would like to see my home cockpit built exclusively for flying my NGX...

(Hope this works...sent from my android phone)

Intel i&2600k overclocked 4.8ghz, nVidia GTX 570 superclocked, Asus P8Z68-V MoBo, Water-Cooled, etc. Saitek PRO Flight System, GoFlight Airline Pilot Package, Track IR, EZDOK Camera, Sceptor 40" 1080p (TV), Home-made 737 MIP with 17" samsung and 15" Dell monitors

Looks brilliant.

Is that pre-built or did you make it yourself?

Do you have a CDU on there or do you use the CDU on the PMDG. I want to build a similar cockpit and am looking at the Fs solutions website for parts. Looks good!

Remy Mermelstein
777-300 FS Pilot

Awesome! Another GoFlight user!

How do you like that Saitek Pro Yoke? I have CH Products Yoke and it feels too "light" ... want something that has a little more weighted feel.

Awesome!

Where is the keyboard...I have been playing with this idea but can't find space or a good configuration.

Wow. Leave it to me for a weird question...What's the mouse for?

Looks like he still has to use the virtual overhead panel.

Nice setup btw.

No, I made the panel myself...3/16" aluminium sheet with 1/4" and 1/8" plywood sheets for the frames and panel sections.

I use the on-screen CDU, but plan on using the Virtual Avionics android app with my 10" asus tablet...worked well during beta testing!

"How do you like that Saitek Pro Yoke?"

It works for me OK, but I've modified the springs inside to give a light feel and to get a little more precision movement during landings...

"Where is the keyboard?"

I use a wireless keyboard and was sitting on the couch behind the simulator. ;-)

"What's the mouse for?"

Believe me, i would love to cut all ties to a keyboard and mouse but unless i spend thousands of dollars more, I'm stuck still using these things:-(

Wouldn't we all. I think that with the NGX you've got a shot at it.
