March 26, 201313 yr Yeah...sense they are not targeting FSX anymore is it even worth upgrading??? I'm on 306.xx and it's working just fine. Thoughts? -Ray
March 26, 201313 yr Author Wake me up when Nvidia Driver data states "20% improvement in FSX and Prepar3D" Why waste your time and my time answering ? If you're not interested that's fine. I personally don't need your sarcasm. Why don't you tell us when the last time any Nvidia Driver update mentioned FSX? The facts are this. FSX isn't the only program or simulation out there. Try not to be so narrow minded. These forums used to be much more civilized. Grow up.
March 26, 201313 yr There was a new driver a couple months back that did give me a 2-3fps increase. I don't remember the version number though. I've downloaded this new one and may take a spin with her this evening and report back if work doesn't "interfere" with flying  Chris Sunseri
March 26, 201313 yr Hello, Wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?, your post is arogant and you've now wasted "MY TIME" reading "YOUR" post and yet you complain of others. There is a place for his statement in regards to DRIVER UPDATES and NEW FLIGHTSIM USERS that may not know that FS9/FSX/P3D are no longer supported by driver updates. This in-and-of-itself could save new users numerous hours of headaches for little to no benefit by installing these new drivers... I agree that these fourms used to be much more civilized years and years ago, but your statement does not fall into the civilized catagory, instead of telling other to stop being narrow minded and to grow up, maybe you should just move on, your statements are certainly not helping to keep AVSIMs fourms a civil environment. Why waste your time and my time answering ? If you're not interested that's fine. I personally don't need your sarcasm. Why don't you tell us when the last time any Nvidia Driver update mentioned FSX? The facts are this. FSX isn't the only program or simulation out there. Try not to be so narrow minded. March 26, 201313 yr I am failing to see how the OP was in the wrong here. I get new drivers, as my PC world does not evolve around FSX. If your world does, ok, but why be an &@($* to the OP for stating something? This is a community, an open community, that actually has stuff on it about DCS and other SIMS and platforms that ACTUALLY use newer drivers. So....for the people who use this community as a community, and like to get heads up on new drivers because they don't lurk on the driver sites, what is the harm? I still don't understand smart remarks for no reason on posts. William Sequeira
March 26, 201313 yr Easy fellas, relax, you never know when some little tweak that Nvidia makes for some other game might have a slight peripheral effect on FSX. I am always hoping for the best. I will download and try. Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
March 26, 201313 yr Same here Lee, I am not sure if it is a placebo effect, but I really thing the 314 ones are not the best for my 670, I remember when I got the card, it was lower than that, now with my issues, I am running the 314 and think that may be my issue,. William Sequeira
March 26, 201313 yr If its new it has to be better. I heard that on the internet. Why do we not hear every time a MB builder releases a BIOS revision?
March 26, 201313 yr Author Wake up on the wrong side of the bed today?, your post is arogant and you've now wasted "MY TIME" reading "YOUR" post and yet you complain of others. With all due respect this is the second time and perhaps the third that Mr. Feldman has left the same remark. If he isn't interested in the driver that's fine but there is no need to leave a response that is insulting. If he knows anything at all about MSFS and Nvidia then he would know that it has been a very long time since Nvidia had an interest in FS. He would also know that most people actually have other Progams that may or may not benefit from new drivers. So in answer to your question. No. I didn't get up on the wrong side of the bed. I don't need members acting like children and posting remarks like his when the remarks accomplish nothing. I've been using AVSIM since it's inception and have asked for help and recieved it. I've also done my fair share of helping others. My post regarding the driver update was quite simple and informative. Simple as that.
March 26, 201313 yr I have tested some drivers which perform better than others in FSX. I ´ll keep updating every each new set released by NVIDIA. Miquel.
March 27, 201313 yr Just completed a short hop from KABQ-KSAN with the new 314.22 drivers and all went well. Had some decent cloud cover to pass through nearing the coast, but seemed as smooth as could be. She's a keeper. Chris Sunseri
March 27, 201313 yr In general I find the biggest anti-community post is from those who have taken it upon themselves, therefore excluding forum moderators, to play the role of Hall Monitor. I got nailed the other day by someone who believed I didn't reply to the OP's exact question to his specifications so he felt free to discredit my comment with his marginalizing response. If you have a real issue w/ someone's post, report it to the moderator. That's essentially a rule of [courtesy] law that helps keep the environment friendly & professional, while giving feedback to users who need feedback for whatever reason. OK, now that I've gone off topic again...thanks for the info about the driver and I will try it because I have had an odd video issue that began w/ the current driver. I have rapidly sparkling night lights in ORBX scenery, plus an odd occasional total video corruption. Irony: yes, will probably have to reinstall an older driver!
