April 13, 201313 yr Actually the PSS 777 has really good system depth - nearly all systems are simulated and pretty accurately too. The external model is not perfect but I'm ok with it. Many have done merges with the POSKY model, but I haven't felt the need to do that. I still enjoy flying the PSS 777 with the new VC textures ( that is, when I can drag myself away from the PT Tu-154). Glad I am not the only one as KEWR-LLBG in the PSS 777 has long been my favorite route I fully agree with your assesment. I also purchased a soundset a while ago, don't remember which. I tend to fly the routes I fly the most in real life KEWR-EGLL, KEWR-EDDF, KEWR-LLBG and they are all 777 so for years I have been happily simulating them with the PSS bird. I can't wait to see what PMDG has in store for us!!!! Right now I am doing a fictitious 12 hour hop from KEWR-OMDB direct in the 777 as my back and hip have me limited to the house! BTW, landing at LLBG at 60FPS is the most impressive sim experience I have seen to date. You don't know smooth until you have flown with a maintained 60FPS on a 60Hz refresh rate monitor. FS9 heaven... Even OMDB has been around the 50PS mark when doing the circle to land 30 approach with the entire city in view. Amazing. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

April 13, 201313 yr The PSS 777 surprised me a couple of times: E. g., it's capable of conditional waypoints in SIDs, for example. That's not even mentioned in the (printed) manual of the box version. After I referenced the boxed version of the PSS (v1.0) in the official Captain Sim forum (regarding their 777 v1.0 release for FSX), CS would not only deactivate my login but also ban my IP address from their forum ... PSS actually has been the only developer so far who could provide me with a satisfactory representation of my favourite aircraft. Glad I am not the only one as KEWR-LLBG in the PSS 777 has long been my favorite route (...) I've heard of LLBG before, but ##### is KEWR?!? :LMAO: What happened to AVSIM
April 13, 201313 yr 've heard of LLBG before, but ##### is KEWR?! Small airport outside a small city on the east coast of the US A small airline uses it as a hub as well... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

The flight sounds great - enjoy! Hope your back and hip recover soon. Can someone point me to the tweaks and the must to complement PSS 777! In addition to the original product and official updates - All I use are these, that I mentioned earlier: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/336201-pss-777-new-vc-textures/ and some tweaks to the taxi and landing lights I've done myself.
April 14, 201313 yr I didn't mention the Fokker or VC10 because neither has a VC and that's become a "must" for me. But both have many enthusiastic supporters and I'm sure they belong on the long list of great options for FS9. I confess that I hadn't considered the PSS 777 because it was released so long ago by a company that no longer exists. But it sounds like I was wrong about it and will do some investigating. With the enhancements mentioned, it sounds like something I should try. Thanks for the info!Ian
April 14, 201313 yr Author Yes, it's a shame. Everybody is enthousiast about it. I must be missing something. I have been seraching what it could be but never succeeded. I'm frustrated and decided to give up. Can someone link me to the tweaked FDE for the PSS 777. I know Topcat does not have the 777 model. What do you use to set up your take-offs? Thanks Ghiom
April 14, 201313 yr For FS9 there really are so many excellent aircraft to try, it would take a long time to list them all. Go out there and explore - see what you like best! Yup - updates for it available here: http://www.justflight.com/supportfaq/777-professional Alternatively here's the download version (with all the updates included): http://www.justflight.com/product/777-professional-download Just Flight seems to be offering two 777s. There's the original PSS one and then another that it says was developed by FeelThere. Is the FeelThere model a completely different one or is it the original PSS model that has been updated? I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I have never seen mention of a FeelThere 777 before so wondered if they had purchased the rights to update the PSS one... Judging by the screen shots they seem very similar. Both are FS2004 but the FT aircraft is also available for FSX... April 14, 201313 yr While the T7 PSS panel is a work of art - the actual model leaves something to be desired... Fortunately there is a decent merge with the POSKY T7 that was done by the guys at Singapore Virtual... I've flown it a bunch and like it a great deal... Probably the best we can do for a T7 in FS9... Regard, Scott

Considering when it was developed it is pretty darn impressive and fortunately I fly from the VC not the outside so the model isn't that big of a deal for me. I agree, not the best though... I think PMDG's FSX version combined with Drzewiecki Design :: View topic - [EG & EN] PREVIEW New York City 2013 is going to be the game changer for me though. The PSS bird has served me well but as other Gen 1 777's she will be retired for the newer models Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
April 14, 201313 yr Thanks a lot to all - now YOU made ME fly the PSS 777 again (just installed 4GB of additional scenery - just for 'her' ...) What happened to AVSIM
