New cockpit shots of TBM 850. And the avionics are...

...G1000. Just have a look at their FB page: Now with two PFDs. But I probably won't find out how performance will be, because after the Cirrus, I have no need for another "polished default G1000 aircraft" in my hangar.

I truly hoped for something with GNS 530/430 in it...

Ah sigh...G1000.  Another absolutely stunning aircraft that I won't buy though I do look forward to some wonderful screenshots.

G1000?  Not a surprise, but...

Someone, must be liking these G1000 implementations or Carenado wouldn't keep cranking them out, but I know that I've gone from being a regular customer to not having bought anything from them since the C90.

Shame it has a g1000. In real life its awesome to fly with a g1000 but in sim i really don't like them.

Disappointing as I was looking forward to the 850. Holding out. TINY bit of hope they might do steam.

I don't think they listen to their customers at all. Sure they might be selling some with the G1000 but by their FB page they'd sell more without.

It would sell more if their implementation was better.  What avionics options does the TBM come with in the RW.  I've only seen one and it had the 1000.

That's the thing. This plane should have the G1000 in it. The problem is and has been to my mind, that if you're going to do a G1000 equipped plane like this, the G1000 implementation has to shine. A plane with this kind of avionics package is a systems plane as much as anything. If you can't do things like load and modify flight plans, use up to date nav data or fly precision GPS approaches, you're missing much of the point.

The Flight1 Mustang did a credible job with this, but if Carenado isn't going to do similar depth, then I wish they'd stick to what they've done well in the past.

Edit: This assumes, of course, an implementation similar to the last two, based off the default G1000.

The oldest 850s had either all steam with gps an then later they had a EHSI/EADI

there are some without the G1000

Look at the price of the Mindstar G1000* which is about as real as anyone can make one, and then figure just how much they'd have to charge for the TBM850 even if they were able to code one as full of features.

I've been thinking about that.  Can the Mindstar be integrated into these aircraft?

Don't believe so.

I don't think anybody's asking for a mindstar like g1000 anyway. One like flight 1's would suffice.
