GoFlight Yoke Pre-Order

Featured Replies

Opps I meant Pre Order not Pro Oder. It's $750 for the Yoke, looks great and I'd love to have one but I cannot afford that much for a piece of FSX hardware...even though I'm sure its worth it, I have a TQ6 and I got it on sale and I love it, o well maybe one day. :D

Pre-order is avaible here:

Hmm. Seems expensive for game equipment.

Not too keen on the look of the steel box or table hooks either. Are they adjustable?

I'm sure the action is what costs here. It probably as smooth as a butter coated python in a velvet suit.

Nice.

I thought they were going to offer a Yoke with a price that's in between the Saitek/CH products and the PFC yokes, because there is a huge price gap in between the two. I can get a PFC yoke for $620, probably going to do that, they look nice and I dont care if it looks like a 737 yoke.

I like the look of it, but I really hope they follow through with it being floor mountable. Considering how hard it is to get an Ace yoke reliably, I would have thought GoFlight would pounce on the chance to offer a realistic yoke.

Would love to have one, but being busy with my job, 2 youngsters, a house which needs some work and not forgetting a wife who likes to get some attention, I can only get a few flighthours a month on average. And I can't justify spending $750 on something that's only going to get used so little...

If it were half that price, I would be seriously tempted and would probably buy...

The fact it has a hat switch is nice.

It looks very good.

I dont think $749 is unreasonable given the quality on show.

Can't judge wether it's reasonable or not. But in my book $749 is just way to much to spend on a yoke. As said before if it would be half or even 400~500 US$ I might consider it, but for now I'll stick with my Saitek.

I happen to think $750 IS exceptionally unreasonable... Were not all Real world pilots, and for a simulator product that is NOT a real floor mounted yoke, $750 is just far too high a markup, considering you have less than $100 worth of materials..

Price it exceptionally high, sell only a few to get back your investment, or sell it sell it for $300, sell 10x as many, and make far more than you would at the higher price?

They have priced right in line with other high end yokes with more features/functionality.  I can't understand why people make up a price THEY want to pay for something and say that is what it should be...  Personally, if it is the same quality as PFC with additional functionality why shouldn't it be in the same price range as other high end yokes???  Is $750 in my immediate future for a yoke, not at the moment but when I am in the market this will certainly be my first choice depending on the reviews.  Who says $300 at the amount they anticipate selling even covers R&D?  If you have 5 people working on this all making 50k annually each and you spent a full year on this you have $250k to recoup right there.

Better to get a larger amount of people with smaller $$$$$ - think long-term.

Sure, Mercedes should drop the cost of their S series to the price of their C series too...  Drop the cost sell more right???

Guys, there is going to be a business model Go-Flight has built based on Dev costs, ROI etc...  You don't just pick a random cost in business, you pick a cost that if you sell x number of devices you will recoup your costs.  If they drop their price in half but end up with the same amount of orders your returns are halved or you have to sell double.  You guys are all thinking emotionally about what you want it to cost, I am sure Go-Flight is looking at it from a business perspective not emotional...
