April 19, 201313 yr There is so much Hype about the T7 (Don't get me wrong I will have one) but to be Honest I am more excited about the new Queen. It is an Icon in aviation. I wonder how many airlines will be flying the T7 in 2060? And besides that IMO it is one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built. Thanks, Ron I'll bet there will be far more airlines flying the T7 (probably 777X or 777X+) than the Queen in 2060. I'm not going to argue about the queen's beauty; I love the 747 just as much as anyone, but it's economics are poor. By nature, a very large twin is far more efficient and cheaper to maintain than a four holer. Look at how terrible the sales figures for the 747-8F/747-8i are compared to the T7. Sadly, I think by 2060 the 747 will be almost completely gone from the skies and Boeing's latest iteration of its "jumbo twin" will rule. Adam Hill
April 19, 201313 yr I use to love flying the original PMDG 737 and when I brought the NGX, I was blown away compared to the old version in all aspects. hopefully this should be exactly the same story. If so, I cant wait to get my hands on a copy. I love the 747 and its my favourite aircraft. I cant wait to see what PMDG will do with this aircraft. Thomas Wills Thomas Wills

I have no doubt that the 747 will be all but phased out by 2060. I was making a possible comparison to time in service between the two. The Queen carried her first passenger in 1970 and now is in direct competition with the A-380 with the new 8I. Boeing already has orders from four major carriers. I am sure she will fly at least twenty more years putting her time in service at 73 years. I don't think we can count what will go on past that with all of the planes out there. We still have quite a few DC-3's working on a daily basis but I would not say they are "in service". I am just not sure the T7 will be able to beat that record. Thanks, Ron Thanks, Ron Fields

April 22, 201313 yr You will probably have to as tabs already stated it will be rebuilt from the wheels up. It will be just like the ngx, noone got a discount even if they owned the original Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
April 22, 201313 yr will existing owners pay full price? Isn't it the same situation with the original 737NG and NGX? No need for a discount in my opinion since it's going to be a completely whole new aircraft. - Luke Pabari
