Simeon, with all due respect, transition altitude is not standardly 5000ft in Europe. It varies from country to country (UK is commonly 6000ft, Netherlands 3000ft) sometimes even from region to region (cf. Innsbruck and Vienna...).

The STD BARO pushbutton does that, setting 1013hPa or its equivalent in inches Hg (has that 29.91 vs 29.92 anomaly been fixed?), regardless of altitude.

You can push the button on the ground and 1013 is set... though your altimeter may then be wrong :)

The UK has several TA's, it depends on the airport, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000 are all common.

Cheers, Andy.

Although there is nothing on the JF website, and no email received - if you log into your Just Flight account and re-download the Majestic Q400, it's the new updated Version 1.0006 !!

If you are going to bring reality into it again, where is the middle mouse button in the Dash 8? You have to make compromises with controls in FSX because a human cant grab hold of a knob or press a button very accurately in the FS VC with a mouse, especially when there are momentum effects moving the cockpit around all the time.

My mouse wheel click facility doesn't work very well either (its a free wheeling, wheel) and is next to impossible to press without also turning the wheel, so I end up adjusting the baro (or whatever my mouse ends up pointing at) at the same time I am trying to press the Baro button.

If you absolutely must ignore a great many of your customers in this instance then a compromise would be to turn the STD press into toggle function and pair it to a default FS Control that can be assigned to a button, that would help people like myself who have difficulty pressing this knob. Again as has been said before, we are one pilot doing the workload of 2.

Hooking up B would be far simpler for everyone involved though.

I agree 100% with this.

Good.   Well for those who don't spend their lives on Facebook; there was no details on the JF site (at the time) hence the post.........

Thanks Andrew....I knew the TAs were much lower than FL180, I did not research it before making the statement.
