May 6, 201313 yr Author just reloaded in case it was me. from the aircraft menu i pick the Q400 then an airport and gate, click on fly now and when it loads it takes off like the space shuttle. Straight up to about 300 - 500ft.I then have to go through the loading procedure all over again I'm going to sound like a spoiled brat, but if i could return it to Justflight i would. :( steve REX SKYFORCE 3D steve howlett
May 6, 201313 yr How strange... I've gotten the update, and it solved it for me. Could it be a conflicting add-on? A third-party airport or so that has reworked the ground?Try a different airport and see if it still occurs. If so, maybe slew mode could help. Load the Q400, enter slew mode, exit slew mode, continue. That helped me pre-patch. If that still isn't a help, someone else will have to pitch in. EDIT: Actually, if I remember correctly, you can mail Majestic for an edited cfg file, I've heard of that file solving bouncing issues for 4 people now. I can understand your frustration at it all not working, but I urge you to keep trying; I couldn't use the Q400 pre-patch (the sound kept cutting out), but now that it does work, it really is a turboprop with PMDG level of detail. It's a fantastic plane. However, if you're really fed up with messing around, you can always mail JustFlight and get a refund.

May 6, 201313 yr What I found helps is to load a default aircraft like the trike, set the parking brake to on, and then load the Q400. May 6, 201313 yr I only had this happen the first time I loaded the plane AFTER the update. Then it never happened again. All I did was go into "slew", hit "F1" to bring the plane back to the ground and exit slew mode. It did a little ghetto bounce but settled quite nicely at the gate. May 6, 201313 yr I can confirm that I never suffered the 'leaping' aircraft at v1.005, but got the fright of my life when I first loaded the aircraft with v1.006; it lept 200 feet into the air and landed on it's head. Thank god there's no failure modelling! However ....... What I found helps is to load a default aircraft like the trike, set the parking brake to on, and then load the Q400. I too have found that this prevents the 'leap', although I use the default C172 as it has a more reliable fuel system set up, where subsequent aircraft loads are concerned.
May 6, 201313 yr Commercial Member Folks,Ok sorry to hear that the bouncing has gotten worse for some, and in some cases that aircraft even reacts erratically. There should be an "aircraft.cfg.alternative" in the "mjc8q400" folder which can be found in SimObjects/Airplanes/mjc8q400. Be sure to give some feedback as to the outcome. Please forward all problems to the Majestic forum. Thanks KROSWYND a.k.a KILO_WHISKEYMajestic Software Development/Support Sys 1: AMD 7950X3D, NOCTUA D15S, Gigabyte Elite B650, MSI 4090, 64Gb Ram, Corsair 850 Power Supply, 2x2TB M.2 Samsung 980s, 1x4TB WDD M.2, 6xNoctua 120mm case fans, LG C2 55" OLED running at 120Hz for the monitor, Win11. May 7, 201313 yr Author tried the other aircraft.cfg file as a last resort. still jumping into the air 300-400-ft thought i'd give this a go before contacting Justflight. steve REX SKYFORCE 3D steve howlett

This hobby has never been for the impatient.
