May 18, 201313 yr Author Daniel, Do you have an AMD GPU? I remember they were far more susceptible to this for some reason. Alex did a bunch of optimizing on it for SP1c - there isn't anything more we can do. For whatever reason certain video cards don't like the way these things are drawn. I personally don't see any effect on my GTX570 from this. Ryan, your help is much appreciated! I have Nvidia GTX560Ti so shouldn't i be fine with that? i am loosing to much frames for a video card that very similer to yours. any action that i can do to minimize that? cheers mate. Daniel choen
May 18, 201313 yr Hello all ....I didn't realize a noticeable drop at frame rate ?? just for information Alaa A. RiadJust love to fly............... W11 64-bit, MSFS2020, Intel Core i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20 Ghz 6 Cores, 2 TR HD, 16.0 GB DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 MB GDDR5

Daniel, I really don't know what could be causing that - all I can say is that I don't see it at all myself as evidenced by the screenshots I posted. Drawing circles and straight lines is a pretty simple thing honestly - there's far more complicated things going on like the EGPWS terrain map, the VSD, the magenta route line itself etc that have no effect on performance either so it really doesn't make any sense that drawing some very simple primitive objects/shapes would cause a 10 fps drop. May 18, 201313 yr For what its worth, I've got and AMD GPU and have not noticed any issues at all. I use the fix page all the time especially for the ETOPS EEP, ETP/CP and EXP, and have not noticed any FPS issues. Ryan Syferd (KSEA)
May 18, 201313 yr Author Hey Ryan's, perhaps you have any suggestions that might fix that? i have a 64 bit windows 7 OS i don't think it's much different then any other here. it's so frustrating that i am having that, wish it hadn't even start. cheers. Daniel choen
May 18, 201313 yr I know you're talking about the NGX, but when flying the 744, I always put two fixes at 20 and 10 miles out and have never noticed a frame rate drop. I personally don't see how a little ol green ring or two could cause a frame rate drop, but stranger things have happened I suppose. Chris Sunseri
May 18, 201313 yr Just tested this. Entered three Radial/DME's for 1 fix and all was fine. As soon as I entered a second fix though, the frames dropped by 10 (literally). Running a GTX 670 here. Don't know what the problem is but maybe it overloads the ND. I have my refresh rate set at 20 fps for the ND, perhaps that compounds it as well? Ivo Dimitrov
May 20, 201313 yr I think dropped FPS as soon as entering second fix is because of the effect of the airport scenery & traffic .... Alaa A. RiadJust love to fly............... May 20, 201313 yr Proof from my end:Nothing on the fix pages - 39.7 FPS: Two separate FIXes with both a DME ring and a radial - 39.4 FPS. That's just small margin of error/variance stuff there - the average framerate is exactly the same between the two for me. No framerate drops here either! Three fixes! Robert
May 20, 201313 yr Author No framerate drops here either! Three fixes! 2013-5-16_15-4-49-664.jpg Robert on the air, above the sea, no green radials. it's not supposed to drop significantly. try it on payware scenery with radials. cheers. Daniel choen
May 20, 201313 yr try it on payware scenery with radials. cheers. Hi Daniel, I use a lot of payware and have not noticed framerate drops. Shall try later this week more. Robert

May 25, 201313 yr Commercial Member Are you guys sure you aren't seeing the effect of having the mouse cursor onscreen? Try moving it up onto to the title bar or waiting for it to disappear and see what happens to the FPS - the cursor always causes a 5-10 FPS drop because of the way FSX coded mouse control in the VC. (using tons of math to translate the 2D cursor position into the 3D world instead of just making the cursor part of the 3D world like every other game does) Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
May 25, 201313 yr Author Hey Ryan, i'll check it as soon as i can! but when i am not touching the mouse he won't disappear from the screen, he'll stay there. Daniel choen
