May 13, 201313 yr Well it's been quite a number of years since the release of the popular Level D 767 and I was just wondering why no one else has taken up the task of developing a newer version of the 767 that meets todays standard (more so visually) ? Marlon Carter - AVSIM Reviewer

Isn't the Captain Sim 767 good enough? ^_^
May 13, 201313 yr Isn't the Captain Sim 767 good enough? ^_^ CS 767 version 1.5 is awesome!
May 13, 201313 yr Commercial Member Says no one. Yeah,I totally agree. Awesome? For my tastes, it's not worth even considering (I own it and the Level-D, so I can say that). Then agian I'm not looking for an introductory model either. To be fair, I suppose it's awesome if you only care about the visual model and want an aircraft that flies like the default 737. If so, then awesome I guess it is. But I also have to say that I get a little worn out by seeing such comments. The company though, is a totally different matter. I'll not give them another dime. May 14, 201313 yr Author Well this isn't really a debate about CS or Level D...the topic simply raised the question of why we haven't seen a NEW 767 from any developer that is meant to replace or "outshine" the Level D 767 Marlon Carter - AVSIM Reviewer
May 14, 201313 yr Well this isn't really a debate about CS or Level D... Yeah, sorry for starting the Captain Sim vs Others debate.
May 14, 201313 yr Nope. Level-D won't update theirs, PMDG won't make a 767 because of Level-D, and the only developer left that has proven in depth modernized simulation is Majestic. Don't know if they will get into turbojets or not. AJ Pongress
May 14, 201313 yr I think the level-d 767 is still an awsome aircraft though the VC is showing its age. If PMDG or Level - D did a new 767 with a new HD VC it would sell like Hot Cake,s Jason Richards
May 14, 201313 yr Commercial Member why we haven't seen a NEW 767 from any developer that is meant to replace or "outshine" the Level D 767 First, let's count how many companies are able to make good quality 767. And have something like 2 years of free time to make one. Second, let's think if it's really profitable to make such a complex airliner for the third time for FSX. Michael A2A Simulations

Sure it would, if somebody made a 767 comparable to 737NGX quality it would easily make majority of those who currently use LDS 767 / CS 767 to buy it.

A 767 looks much better than a 737. Never been a fan of small airliners. The only reason for me to get the 737 NGX was due to the detail on it...Same with the Airbus. A large a/c looks "awsomer" Looks elegant, powerful, graceful etc..etc. and etc.
