Hi ,

i'm interested in the 747 Manuals & Training Aids. I just want to know how much it will cost, to send me the PMDG 747-400 Captain's Flight Manual Set

to Germany ? This Set will cost without shipping and any other taxes 219 dollars right ?

Please tell me how much it will cost then it arrives at home.

THANKS

You can always check the Estimated Shipping Charges yourself. Put the item in your cart, and at the bottom of the screen you will see "Estimated Shipping Charges".

Hello Fabian 1990,  You forgot to sign you name in post.  That aside, you could forego buying the 747 manuals at this time due to PMDG updating the current model which in turn may have new data therein thereby saving you some money. Just a thought. Richard Welsh.

Richard - these are the real life Boeing manuals for the 747 - as such I doubt they'll be changing for the 744v2.

Personally, I would never pay for manuals if they come with the product. I certainly wouldn't spend $300 or so on bound procedures, etc. Not for a computer game. But to each his own...

Here you go. Shipping to the Netherlands will set you back a whopping US$ 155 or 171, depending on the delivery service type chosen. I'd expect rates for Germany to be similar if not identical.

We fly SIMULATIONS, not "games", so your point does not apply here. :-P

Hi guys ,

first of all. THANK YOU for your posts. I have seen these shipping costs before on the homepage of PMDG. But i wondered why the costs (only for shipping = 170 Dollar) are so high ???
Isn't there a possibility to get them cheaper ? Maby from a simulation online shop like aeroware, simmarket etc. ?

Fabian, since you are in Germany, I would try and see whether someone you know does not know some LH pilot who would be willing to part with an old set of theirs...

Other than that, buy a laser printer, a cartridge extra (or two) and a couple binders...

its Fedex that are expensive...USPS Priority would be MUCH cheaper..anyway PMDG could add that as an option for overseas customers? My online camera store has shipped hundreds of heavy (think 60 pounds) and expensive (think $6000) cameras and lenses worldwide and USPS Express (for items over $400) never came more than $180-200 even with insurance and USPS Priority (under $400 value so applicable here) around $100.

PMDG whats the total shipping weight and package size of these items? You have a customer who Im sure would buy if the shipping was reasonable!

Quick quote from USPS - package 20 pounds 24x24x12 to Europe Priority Mail = $93 online

There is a big difference in having the actual manuals in your hand, to reading .pdf files on a computer screen.

If you have a color Nook, Kindle or iPad, that would make it a lot easier reading the .pdf manuals, but I would still want the QRH in the hard copy for easy reference.

I have the MD11 and NGX manuals and I really enjoy reading through them.  I will probably get some of the 777 manuals eventually.

I agree completely although I cant afford them - NOT having the QRH on my lap is the only reason I havent spent any time practicing

emergencies in the NGX....scrolling endlessly through 1000 pages of a pdf file on a tablet is a major immersion killer

Not really. More and more airlines and GA pilots are adopting the paperless cockpit concept, in which hard copies of charts and manuals are being substituded by digital ones in iPads or in a built-in EFB.

QRHs are still on paper though. Especially because they just are a lot quicker to browse through.
