Thanks for the HU on the extra Norway stuff. I already had AoN running but didn't know about the other things. Wow, 1.2gb photopack. Amazing! But one needs to sign up over there (SkyDrive), right?

Yeah apparently the Skydrive asks some to sign in and others don't have to... I had to sign in and dl'ed the pack with no problem.

Seems it randomly asks you to sign or not... but you can sign in with your own Hotmail account (or Live account maybe). You do not have to enter the (unknown) uploaders account details! If you don't have an account there then you might try to reload the site and see if you can download it without having to sign in. Or you can create an account for it.

True. Fortunately, I had one of those around. ^_^ As you've said, parts of the downloads worked without the need to sign up. Either way, I'm exited to try them later. :smile:

Updated version of ENKR photoreal. Use the original download link (on page 1 in the link I posted), and select New ENKR Photo. It's a single .bgl file that needs replacing.

Finally got the time to check out a few of those photoreal airports (out of the 35 AoN airports 15 have a photoreal background... all FREE!) and they are awesome! Really well done, Andrew!!! I also LOVE how you managed to make them fit into FTXG with those smooth transitions! Really cool!!!

I am really beginning to wonder if I need FTX Norway South or not... Well, I probably will get it (mainly for the region specific textures) but I certainly will be using these airports with it because although Orbx does a nice job on upgrading the default airports, some of the AoN ones are absolutely payware quality! All this Norway freeware has become the best freeware scenery I have seen!!!

+1 on all above!

Just a quick note the photo links on page 1 are media fire and are deleted where do we get them from now? Or are they included in the 3.5 package?

Looking forward to setting this freeware up for Norway. One question: I have downloaded the NSX_IIVer.1Beta and within this folder there is sub-folder named "UT vagar own 5407" with 4 bgl files and a Norwegian text document. What scenery files are these and where are they placed within the FSX Scenery Library?

Thanks!

I have Trondheim Verne's x where should that be placed after placing all other files as per your post Jeroen? Thanks Wayne

Megs - J van Es link to AoN is outdated. Get the newest version, 3.5, here;

http://www.flightsim.no/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=651941#Post651941

Use the link where it says 'Last Ned HER'. Download the AoN pack and the photopack. For everything else just follow J van Es post.

If you want to run Aerosofts ENVA in stead of AoN (I advise you to do a fair comparison, as I prefer AoN much more than Aerosofts - but your choice), simply remove all files with ENVA in the filename from the AoN scenery library. Make a backup as usual. If you wish to try out the AoN ENVA, you must uninstall Aerosofts ENVA, as simply unchecking it from the scenery Library gave me all sorts of issues with terrain elevation and weird coastlines... Good luck!

John - As I can translate from the readme file, it says that because UTE did not make roads for area 5407 (where ENAT and ENAK is) the devs made some them selves. It also says "do not forget to remove the files, when a patch for this is out". And now comes the part that makes we a bit confused, it says:

"I have put the files in Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Scenery/UTEurRoad."

As I read is, It suggests to simply copy the files into the said library, rather than adding the library to the scenery list (also I dont's see this folder in any Scenery List guide).

I'll try and ask over at the Norwegian forum - be back.
