July 3, 201312 yr Would never recommend someone build a computer unless they have started with something cheap and simple. Knew exactly what thier doing. It just take one surge of electicity to blow out a part. If cost $125 with warranty to build custom pc compared to do it yourself I would pay someone to build it at that point.

Regards Jim Allen SkyPilot Software Yes, closed loop water coolers are working wonders... and so are the top of the range air coolers that match the performance of the H110. Like the NH-D14, and the Silver Arrow. Worth pointing out for those that shy away from closed loop coolers due to fear of leaks.
July 4, 201312 yr Author fear of leaks. Yes, about leaks, does that happen? what are the maintenance aspects of liquid cooling, and what are thier ups and downs? how often do they leak? July 4, 201312 yr what are the maintenance aspects of liquid cooling, and what are thier ups and downs? how often do they leak? Closed loop coolers are 100% maintenance free. Leaks in these things are very rare. - The designers of these things are not going to make a product that destroys your stuff. Pros: Very quiet and very effective. (mid 60s full load @ 1.4Volts) Very aesthetically appealing due to small form factor. Cons: Mild difficulty installing water block and radiator Mild difficulty removing dust build up in radiator/fans
July 4, 201312 yr Author Cool! unfortunately I dont think I can afford it. I am really on a budget here. July 5, 201312 yr Yes, about leaks, does that happen? what are the maintenance aspects of liquid cooling, and what are thier ups and downs? how often do they leak? Leaks happen. Unfortunately, closed loop coolers CAN "damage your stuff". There are plenty of individuals who have had the hassle of persuading manufacturers to compensate them for damaged graphics cards and motherboards. The question, is how many units leak? That question is impossible to answer, simply because we do not have access to the required information. We don't know how many units are sold world wide, and what percentage leak. We can estimate that it must be a low percentage, but we can't know for sure. The bottom line is that when you buy an air cooler, you know leaks are a physical impossibility. But when you buy a closed loop water cooler, you must accept that no matter how small the risk, that the risk is still present.
July 5, 201312 yr Author Well, I cannot afford the liquid coolers so, I am gonna stick with a high end air cooler. Hows my new specs that I posted above? minor differences. July 6, 201312 yr Looks okay to me. I like the fact it includes Intel® Core™ i7-4770K Performance Tuning Protection. I have it myself, for piece of mind when overclocking.Personally wouldn't bother with 16 GB of RAM, I'd settle for 8, but no big deal. Have you considered faster RAM? So what sort of air cooler are you going for? you say not water but the specs still say Cooler Master Seidon.NHD-14 is still the best in my view, especially after I've just watched a video on the Silver Arrow that was rather negative. If such a big cooler will fit in your case of course, and give you enough RAM clearance.
July 7, 201312 yr Author I am trying to get the best system I can for around 1200 and my parents wont let me pay any extra money of my own for some reason, even though i have it, so I have to prioritize. The RAM in my opinion is fast enough for me, and if I can in the future I will upgrade. I am going to check out on PCpart picker though and see what I find..
