August 6, 201312 yr Actually, the real world 777 DOES have a Equi time point feature. I saw it in action on Just Planes Turkish 777-300ER and Air Canada 777-200LR's. Oh, right then, thanks. Any Beta testers care to let us know if this is in fact implemented, or not modeled? Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
August 6, 201312 yr ...and the RTA function is currently greyed out Very well then, I am currently waiting for it to go up. With the 777, I am strangely looking forward to trying it, for an addon of an aircraft I don't particularly care for. --Peter Fabian
August 6, 201312 yr Commercial Member Any Beta testers care to let us know if this is in fact implemented, or not modeled? I'm confused. All the information I have says only that it's calculated by dispatch and displayed on the flight plan (printed). Awareness of those ETP points is maintained by calculating elapsed time after departure, and the PROG and FIX pages of the FMC. Nowhere do any of the manuals, or online resources indicate that the FMC does this for you. Kyle Rodgers
August 6, 201312 yr Right, so definitely not modeled and possibly doesn't exist... I honestly haven't a notion so I'll trust you guys as to whether or not the 777 has this feature installed or if it's only an Airbus thing. Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.

August 6, 201312 yr The dispatchers calculate the time points. Kind regards That's a given, I was asking if the aircraft also has the ability to real time update the ETP. Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
August 6, 201312 yr The 777 doesn't have the ETP feature. All we can do is take the point calculated by dispatch and put in a fix page either as a time or as a lat/lon. René Pedersen

Regards, Ró. it's only for you Airbus types, guaranteed I think the chap who thought it was there was seeing FIX page range rings or a custom waypoint. There is no reason why a custom waypoint cannot be created at an ETP obviously, if you know where it is ahead of time. - Jane Whittaker

Just saw what I typed earlier...I really am slipping. Equal Time Point Points? Ugh. I'll BRB back. I need to go put my PIN number in the ATM machine to get some cash to register my VIN number... (and if you're wondering what I sound like when I make mistakes like this, go here: http://nooooooooooooooo.com/ ) Kyle Rodgers

Oh no! There it is again! NAT Tracks! *twitch* haha. ...and here I am giving people a hard time for obsessive compulsions in the pax count thread... Kyle Rodgers
August 6, 201312 yr Author Commercial Member another interesting realism. Some of the testers were noting a strange noise when powering up from cold and dark and wondered if this was some sort of sound bug. Actually it was the self test for the cockpit speaker system! You get allsorts of tests if you are starting from a cold cockpit, speakers, cooling fan tests, display units testing themselves and stuff happening all over the place. All completely realistic! - Jane Whittaker
August 6, 201312 yr ...and here I am giving people a hard time for obsessive compulsions in the pax count thread... Don't worry, all good pilots suffer from a little bit of OCD... And now to figure out why my GPS system isn't working, probably something to do with the AC current... Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
