August 6, 201312 yr Beta Testers, First off, thank you very much for the continuous stream of information, screen shots and videos. On the 737 NG, the EGPWS Terrain display on the ND is updated via a left <--> right sweep, similar to a radar sweep. This can be seen in action in the link below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5-cNkqBi-E (this is not the radar, but the EGPWS system) This left <--> right sweep has not been modeled in the PMDG NGX. Does the real 777 have a similar EGPWS Terrain display system? If yes, is the display sweep specifically modeled? Thanks! Rushad E
August 6, 201312 yr I have the same questions about those sounds. I've heard it on a few flights on DAL 777LR's during takeoff and landing. Can anyone say what it is and if its simulated? FDX706 Correct me if I'm wrong. Is it the Air driven Demand Hydraulic Pumps and will it be simulated? FDX706 Darren Esannason
August 6, 201312 yr I'm not on the beta team but i think Luke did a couple flights on Vatsim. I did LHR-LAX on Vatsim at the weekend. However running into a few problems with SquawkBox and FSX - so waiting to get sorted before I'm back on. - Luke Pabari
August 7, 201312 yr I did LHR-LAX on Vatsim at the weekend. However running into a few problems with SquawkBox and FSX - so waiting to get sorted before I'm back on. Your a BETA tester and trying to use Squawkbox and FSX??? Really?? come on! John Grandwood
August 7, 201312 yr Your a BETA tester and trying to use Squawkbox and FSX Not an issue knowing how to use it - more it's causing an FPS issue in full screen. Mouse isn't disappearing in full screen which I believe it due to the little Squawk Ident box causing some kind of overlay over FSX. Disconnect and everything goes back to being perfect. Don't mean to highjack Jane's thread - but if anyone knows any fixes please let me know! - Luke Pabari

August 7, 201312 yr ...and I'm partial to having RTA implemented, but it doesn't see much use Stateside (yet), so it's not like people will miss it. For everyones information: RTA is used on just about very RW arrival here in Perth. ATC mostly gives a STAR clearance along with: "cross BEVLY at time XX or earlier/later" "If you can't solve and equation with calculus, you're not using enough calculus" - A wise friend
August 7, 201312 yr I'll check FSInn out after this flight. FSInn is just a way better vatsim client.

August 7, 201312 yr Can someone tell me something about the landing behavior of this awesome bird? The wings look very huge (big uplift) so i think that the touchdown is usually very smooth, which is cool! Dear Beta Testers: Do you love landing this aircraft? I bet its awesome. Greetings from Germany, Maurice Kroll
