Around the World Flight - In The PMDG 738?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone attempted to take the PMDG 737-800 around the world yet? Was kicking around the idea this weekend and was curious.

I'm sure it could be done. Would require a heck load of preparation and charts though ;)

If it was me, i'd wait until i had the PMDG 777 and use that, it would take less time due to cruise speed and range.

How about you fly to one of the poles and fly around it at a latitude of 89° N/S - should take less than a minute..... :P

But seriously, no  problem - even the famous Vatsim Wordlflight around the year was done by even a few crews flying a 737.

Here's one for a T7 (Well, almost.):

1. EDDF - NZAA

2. NZAA - EDDF

Isn't EDDF - EDDF possible if running at lowest possible load?

I flew a md-80 from south Brazil, central and north America, Greenland, Iceland, UK, central Europe and finish at Lisbon.... took a massive time to do it...

The 737 goes further than the md-80, but still you'll your hands full for some time!

Or the London to Christchurch air race. Does anybody remember what decade that was?  Was thinking it was the 1930's, but may have been later.

That would be a good flight to replicate.

I would do it

Just because Boeing said it can link any city pair, for fun. Imagine the disappointed millionaires: Boeing promised two city pairs! And I had to call my private tanker to not drop into the pacific! Curses!
