August 29, 201312 yr Not always, but every now and then, I see the most gawd awful AI models created by man! Or more accurately created by MTX 5.4 pro... Can anyone else confirm that they see the same low quality AI in MTX. If this is the case I'm thinking of jumping ships and maybe look out for another AI package. Has anyone used MTX and then discovered a better AI program, or do they all suffer more or less with the same issues? August 29, 201312 yr Doesn't MTX trade model complexity for performance? Isn't that the *point* of MTX?

August 29, 201312 yr Author Doesn't MTX trade model complexity for performance? Isn't that the *point* of MTX? Sure, that is the premise, but not if the planes look as rediculous as those in the pic I've posted. Besides, the majority of AI are fine, it just seems to be the odd occasion. You could try WOAI's GA packages http://www.world-of-ai.com/allpackages.php Hi, sure, I tried WOAI a couple of years ago, but found it a complete fag. The thing I like about MTX, is you can click and fly, without having to worry about anything. August 29, 201312 yr Wow, that's pretty gross.. Looking at screens of Traffic 360, MyTaffic X etc and the others they all look pretty rough. The price for you pay for an all in one setup. I prefer to use the freeware models available of which there are more and more FSX models. Plans are kept up to date and based realistically on current schedules. Runs awesome and looks incredible. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BytroK7r9nufU1dCaXJULVB2aG8/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BytroK7r9nufTGJxcVF5RlVxQUk/edit?usp=sharing https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BytroK7r9nufTVZYTEowa1ZFYlU/edit?usp=sharing the majority of AI are fine I dunno about that Howard. August 29, 201312 yr Agreed, the best way to quality-control AI is to make your own from available models, paints and schedules. I don't have the time to do that, so I use MTX and just try not to look directly at the other planes. :Sigh: I guess you could disable the worst looking models. It would thin out your traffic but if it's ruining your flights it may be an improvement. Barry Friedman
August 29, 201312 yr It's basically my only major concern with MTX 5.4. The white airliners are particularly bad looking as well. Rockliffe, double-check to make sure that you don't have the "simplified aircraft models and textures" selected in the setup. Alexander Alonso
August 29, 201312 yr That actually looks good do they actually follow real schedules like PR-117 Vancouver-Manila at exactly 11:45PM? Yes, the Philippine plans I have right now have PAL117 leaving at 11:45pm. Courtesy of United Traffic Team http://unitedtrafficteam.com/index.php/ai-flight-plans . As I said, the plans are all based on CURRENT schedules. PAL116 recently arrived from Manila https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BytroK7r9nufWDBTOGVTaXpGUGM/edit?usp=sharing Jetblue at JFK using the new freeware and incredibly beautiful FAIB FSX Airbus models. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BytroK7r9nufOEhxVFVVZ0FHYnc/edit?usp=sharing Vancouver cargo https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BytroK7r9nufZFl4VHpQU3U4NTA/edit?usp=sharing United Airlines in Denver https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BytroK7r9nufQUdVaTIzR1dZeGM/edit?usp=sharing Dubai .. August 29, 201312 yr Super sweet shots. Looks like alot of work to get that accomplished. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
August 29, 201312 yr Well, I have tried them all, and the same story goes for all of them, the better looking mipped AI aircraft kills performance period.....I have to admit using top of the line AI repaints look great. I use UT2 and its a FPS killer for the average machine, but if you have a high end CPU and card makes the FSX world come alive. I guess their is no easy answer, UT2 has its downfalls but when looking for the best repaints and easy interface to add schedules and repaints it gets a 10 but when it comes to frames its scores a 5 at best.. So no matter which AI program you use keep the traffic density to a min 20 or lower. But if you have a High End Machine UT2 is a good choice, especially if you have the time to search for the best AI repaints and models, one example go check the fruit stand for Airbus AI aircraft. However, I will admit UT2 is behind in releasing the updated schedules and customer support is subpar, however Flight1 has a wonderful money back policy if you don't like the product... just my 2 cents worth..... August 30, 201312 yr mipped AI aircraft kills performance period... Quite the opposite actually. Mipped textures are very well known to ease the load on your system. Moot point though as UT2 repaints aren't mipped. As HighTowers mentioned it can require some work adding AI manually but you get what you put into it. Outside of UT2, running ANY of the available payware AI program is easy at the expense of it looking like FS2000. No thanks. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
August 30, 201312 yr It is a bit of a tough one as I feel that not using any AI traffic at all kills the realism, I know that My Traffic 5.4 has just been updated to 5.4c with 100 new paints, I could not decide between My traffic and Ultimate Traffic 2 so bought them both. My machine is not high end and as long as you are careful with sliders I don't get any problems. Both packages have good points and not so good points, If someone could write a package that took the good points from both they would be on to a winner. August 30, 201312 yr There is nothing that comes close to doing it custom. It requires quite a bit of work though and at times frustrating, but you do a bit at a time, and the end result is rewarding and unmatched to anything the addon programs provide. I added a couple Canadian Airline birds that once were. The new colors paint of the goose logo on teh 744 and a old DC10 former color. The other pic is in KMEM where FDX is a major hub. This is what you should see. Thats only at 60% traffic. Of course FSX ATC is not exactly balanced with operations, so I went around to the center runway. hehe. And KPAE Boeing factory. Dont think I saw that with my former traffic addons. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
August 30, 201312 yr Is it hard to add the traffic in a custom fashion?, I think that would be the best way but would not know where to begin. My youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/c/Dkentflyer
