September 8, 201312 yr Been crunching numbers. Based on the weights in the FMC after you select MAX load from the right select key which gives you (in lbs): Fwd: 17,900 Aft: 12,400 Bulk: 2290 Total : 32,590 So I assume for weight that aft and bulk will be rear and fwd for front. Math time. 32,590 * 55% = 17925 which is close enough for me for forward weight max number from above. 12,400 + 2290 = 14690 32,590 * 45% = 14,666 Again just 24lb shy which is good enough for me for the combined max weight for the rear and bulk max. So now we know max cargo weight (pax version) is 32,590lb. PFPX will put the baggage weight when you do a flight plan. Say that figure is 10,000lb. Now you know you have 22,590lb of cargo you can load up (depending on length of route, etc...) so say you add 17,000lb of cargo. So we are looking at total bag/cargo weight of 27,000lb. 27,000 * 55% = 14850 in the fwd hold 27,000 * 45% = 12150 in the rear and bulk holds. See, easy as that. Sent from Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Eric
September 9, 201312 yr Commercial Member You distribute the load in a manner that the CG is within limits. If you're an airline (moreover a cargo op, because I know they do this), you normally have a program that will assign particular loads to each section to put the plane in a specific CG range that will provide a more efficient operation. I'd love to have a place where we could enter a payload number and it would distribute the cargo as required just like it does with the fuel. Like ZFW? It's not too hard to do it that way, and that's always within CG limits, too. Kyle Rodgers
September 9, 201312 yr I load amount of fuel for my trip first, after that i load whatewer number of pax and cargo i want - i'm just careful not to exceed - maximum load, maximum take off and landing weights, and to be to be within center of gravity limits Zeljko Budovic
September 9, 201312 yr I'd love to have a place where we could enter a payload number and it would distribute the cargo as required just like it does with the fuel. That would be perfect! Well actually TOPCAT has this for the 737 and maybe the other supported aircrafts so maybe we just have to wait for the 777 update? Michael Moe Michael Moe
September 9, 201312 yr The yellow numbers are to signify you have went above the maximum compartment weight limit. Regards,Robert Szarek
