Wind Data aka 777 style? ;)

Featured Replies

Topic says it all but are we likely to see the ability to import wind data from PFPX or active sky on the 737?  Would be neat as i do more start/stop flying with the 737 than the longer flights of the 777.

I'm not sure if the 737 FMC has the wind request option in real life. However, if it does, this would be a nice feature to have, especially for those longer flights.

Wind data also known as 777 style...? Hmm...sounds like an unnecessary acronym got in there...

Anyway, as far as I know the 737 is data uplink capable.  As such, it could be realistic to simulate it.  I can't remember if anyone mentioned whether it would be in the SP2 for the NGX, though.

Kyle Rodgers

737 is perfectly capable of accepting datalink messages and populating the FMC with winds, takeoff data and whatnot.

I say this is a candidate for SP2.

That would be an amazing addition.

You just couldn't leave it, could you?... :-)

It's a fantastic feature of the 777X and I also hope it makes it to the NGX in SP2.

Highly likely SP2 will have it among other enhancements the 777 has.

Whauuu Man, I am anxious for this......when can we expect for this SP2?
