October 7, 201312 yr I was really enjoying the positive, optimistic, and exciting discussion regarding P3D V2. I am so frustrated that these threads keep getting locked due to a few trouble makers that are getting their wish by ruining all are fun with idiot posts. THOSE POSTS ARE NOT WELCOME ON THIS THREAD. I created this thread because I'm drinkin' the P3D coolade and I love how it tastes. Those of you who want to participate. Grab a cup and come on in... Paul Cordogan
October 7, 201312 yr I understand the enthusiasm but starting a new thread, after one that had just about all that can be said at this point locked, is not going to enthrall the same response from the moderators. They don't lock threads, just to have another on the same topic opened again, especially pertaining to an unreleased product that's in BETA. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
October 7, 201312 yr Author Well said Love the Airplane! profile pick, does your neck get tired from always looking out the left window from the pilot's seat? I understand the enthusiasm but starting a new thread, after one that had just about all that can be said at this point locked, is not going to enthrall the same response from the moderators. They don't lock threads, just to have another on the same topic opened again, especially pertaining to an unreleased product that's in BETA. Which is why I was trying to point this one in the right direction from the start. I feel there's still more to be discussed which is why I started the thread. Hope's spring is eternal and I'm just collecting the water from said spring and passing it out in glasses that are half full. Paul Cordogan
October 7, 201312 yr Well good luck in keeping it open!! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
October 7, 201312 yr Author I've been meaning to ask... Anyone heard anything about sloped runways from the P3D dev team? Paul Cordogan
October 7, 201312 yr I'm just collecting the water from said spring and passing it out in glasses that are half full. Can I bring my half full glass to the party so it can be filled to the top?

So we are not allowed to discuss a major update to a popular flightsim on a flightsim forum? Seriously! Wouldn't it make more sense to temporarily ban the members who make the offensive posts, rather than just keep locking threads (which was perhaps the goal in making the offensive posts)? ~ Arwen ~ Home Airfield: KHIE
October 7, 201312 yr Geez, I don't know. Hmm, another thread on V2. Not sure about this. Well... maybe. I don't know. I am afraid. OK let's go. Just so you know though, I like to remain pessimistic as optimism without truly knowing the end result, tends to lead to disapponitment. Like my Dad always said "Hope for the best but prepare for the worse". Good avice. I will remain a realist and wait until it is released. At that point I can then tell you what the improvements are. October 7, 201312 yr Hope for the best but prepare for the worse Shouldn't that have been "hope for the best but be prepar3d for the worst"? Just kidding. I understand what the CordoganAir wants but you don't get that done with such an OP. He simply should have opened with "Anyone heard anything about sloped runways from the P3D dev team?" Even MY post is useless and it's all due to the OP... ^_^ Such an OP only results in what we have now: a discussion about the OP and not about Prepar3D. I will see if I can come up with a interesting topic myself... ^_^

Avsim created this new Prepar3d Forum so I doubt very much that the moderators have an issue with new threads, as without them, the forum withers away! I agree with Arwen "Wouldn't it make more sense to temporarily ban the members who make the offensive posts, rather than just keep locking threads (which was perhaps the goal in making the offensive posts)?" You are the winner of a free copy of p3d v2, with or without, what you think it should, could, or might have as an actual implemented feature or bug fix. Bob Officially retired
October 7, 201312 yr Hi Paul, Been using P3D since the first day, its the best sim on the market IMO. I'm looking forward to the release of 2.0, really looking forward to putting this updated sim through its paces. The individuals that post to close topics are doing so to protect their interest in their sim choice which is NOT P3D. They are trying to sway people away from P3D to their sim, can't really blame them. They are afraid they are going to lose their third party developers to P3D if or should I say when the masses move in this direction. However, if they are that dead set against P3D, maybe they should just move on, you enjoy your sim and we will enjoy P3D... P3D is hear to stay and judging by the 32 thousand views to the P3D 2.0 beta topic P3D is going to be a big success. I hope sooner rather than later the AVSIM staff gets fed up with the same people closing topics and does something about it. Other than that, there's nothing more that can be done on our end. Enjoy the topic while its open and when it closes because of all the Nay Sayers, start a new topic on the subject and continue with your constructive conversation. As a side note: My wing tanks are full of P3D coolaid  Former Beta Tester - (for a few companies) - As well as provide Regional Voice Set Recordings Two: AMD-9950X | One: AMD-7950X3D | Three: Asus TUF 4090s | Three: 64GB DDR5 RAM 6000mhz | Three: Cosair 1300 P/S | Three: 990Pro 2TB NVME One: Eugenius ECS2512 - 2.5 GHz Switch | Three: Ice Giant Elite CPU Coolers | Three: 75" 4K UHDTVs | One: Boeing 737NG Flight Deck
October 7, 201312 yr I think the possibilities are endless. Imagine a flight simulator that you install and only minimally tweak, if at all? This could bring a lot of people to flight simming (not flight gaming and entertainment lol) and increase the potential market enough that we get more and better addons because 3rd party companies will have a bigger market to develop for. That's just one possibility, and the LM people are no fools, they know how important it is that the code be 64 bit so you can be sure that there has been a lot of discussion and planning on how to get there. This is the future and it's going to happen quicker than we think imho.
October 7, 201312 yr I trust the P3D crew and I know that they enjoy flightsimming as we do (or most). That alone is enough for me to be comfortable that it will be delivered. It is a profit company don't forget, and sometimes because of that, decisions made may disappoint. At least we are moving forward AMEN! Bob Officially retired
