Is there really no chance for Prepar3d support?

Hi,

Seeing how PMDG is not the END USER, how does the END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT apply to them?. Just Wondering... :P

How could PMDG develop aircraft for Prepar3d without being an end-user of it?

Because their EULA has to fit the EULA of the platform they intend to run the Software on.

I am pretty damn sure the guys over at PMDG are just as interested, probably even more so, as we are in P3D. As such, I doubt they won't put out a statement if things DO change. They haven't, so no statement.

That's all there is to it.

Hi,

I wonder why L/M isn't suing iFly for violating their EULA with their iFly 737 series aircraft. They too must be end users themselves, No?.

The problem isn't with P3D and/or L/M. The problem more than likely lies between PMDG and Boeing. Hopefully, one day PMDG will fill the skies of P3D. If they do, you can bet I'll be in one of them!.

There was a lot of free music downloads going on before the hammer came down. That went on even though the fine print was pretty clear that it wasn't legal. But since a blind eye was turned to it initially, it was considered that everything was ok. I would guess that PMDG is getting legal counsel on this and staying out of potential conflict. Does anyone bug P3D to change their licensing agreement?

I've already made the decision to deprive myself of PMDG's aircraft for a better flightsim platform.

Me too Mike. It will be a sad day, but as you say, I'm too not going to sacrifice a much better overall simming experience for the sake of a single aircraft, no matter how good!

The issue isn't PMDG, its the fact that they legally can't support the platform for various reasons unbeknownst to us. You might think its easy for us to just install the plane onto P3D but for them, intentionally breaking legally binding contracts has a different outcome. They made it clear in many posts that its not possible..

Hi,

I didn't stop buying from PMDG to prove a point, their products are great. I wish they were on-board with P3D, I'd be the "FIRST ONE" to hand them my credit card. But alas they are not on board. I did not buy the triple 7 for one reason, I've moved on to a better sim (P3D) platform, one that is still in development and expanding as we speak.

In light of the new developments with P3D and the fact we are not privy to closed discussions, I believe the question is a valid one. If the answer is still no, then fine... That's a wrap.

I've already made the decision to deprive myself of PMDG's aircraft for a better flightsim platform.

Just as you have made the decision to deprive yourself of a better platform, a platform that is going to take flight sim to heights never before realized.

We ALL have our priorities.

So what are you going to be flying in P3D then, just the iFly NG? I'd get bored being limited to just one a/c just for the sake of enjoying the improvements in v2.

Although I can understand for people who cant get FSX to look or perform how they want, going to v2 with limited a/c might be a good choice. For the rest of us who have a good looking FSX without performance issues, its harder to make the switch and take the limited selection of airliners to fly.

To bad I love flying tubes in the sim, namely Boeings, otherwise switching to v2 with lots of g/a supported a/c to chose from would be a no brainer.

Hi,

I fly the 737NG just about 100% of the time. If it weren't for the once in a blue moon flight in other aircraft, I could actually say 100% of my time is spent in the 737NG aircraft. Once the full flight deck is finished, I will be spending 100% of my time in the same aircraft.

If I want to fly GA, I'll go to the KBCT airfield.

Okay folks. On behalf of the PMDG guys, I am locking this one down. The EULA for P3D and PMDG's stance in regard to it have been beat to death, and have become a subject that is now being shut down site wide.
