One more time, folks:

You cannot sensibly compare a RW Boeing Company delivering a RW aircraft with severe, life-endangering safety-issues to a computer game addon that doesn't even display a single show-stopping bug.

What's more, Boeing customers have binding pre-release contracts with up-front payments which don't exist between PMDG and its customers (no pre-selling here).

PMDG have delivered a computer game addon which largely works as advertised and, I assume, remaining bugs will be ironed out in due time.

I'm sorry, but you should really be a honest person about this whole situation. You act like a know-it-all which is the problem with some here who constantly tell customers who really are having issues that they are idiots. That they should vote with their wallets and all that crap. However, these are customers who really care and provide honest feedback. But to see know-it-alls like you to tell them to F off, it is truly saddening. Is that what PMDG stands for??

Boeing would never do that. Most credible businesses would never do that. Organizations who truly care about listening to customers' legit concerns and actually learn from it, do not act like you.

The fact that people kept coming back here posting similar concerns mean PMDG really need to have an introspection on why many people are unhappy.

You can keep up with your current facade on how you can demolish people. If that's all you care about, I guess I am so sorry for you. I have no intention of demolishing PMDG, only to want them to step up.

Where did he tell anyone to 'F off'?

Customers may provide honest feedback, but if that feedback is a useless rant what do you expect them to do? Any genuine bugs are being worked on as listed in the stickied thread and this has been communicated. Any other problems are generally down to individual setups which haven't been properly configured.

C'mon. Can you please be a man and tell me how wrong my facts were? You incorrectly compared Boeing and PMDG. That's a fact, no? You got called out on it and you are just denying how bad your analogies are.

I did not compare Boeing and PMDG.  I was merely addressing someone else's comparison (which originated by you, here).  Seeing that you are now claiming that the analogy was a bad one, I take it to mean that you are essentially saying you were wrong.

Boeing did apologize profusely. I am sorry you are not invited to those meetings and conversations in private. You probably cannot associate monetary compensation that Boeing had to give out. I know now that you really have no idea what goes on in business and behind the scene.

BTW, did you even catch the full press conference where Boeing conducted specifically in Japan on the 787 debacles? Were you there when they met with ANA and JAL? Apparently you did not even bother because you didn't catch Boeing apologizing. You probably also didn't catch how culturally significant about doing that press conference in Japan.

Okay.  I was wrong.  Boeing profusely apologized.  I'm sorry for questioning that, but again, I never specifically denied it.  Again, there's a huge difference!

...and yes, having done a decent amount of business with people from the Asian Pacific, I do know quite a lot about their honor-based society, and the implications of social standards.

...but let's continue to take personal shots at me, instead of addressing the actual topic of debate.

I do not know everything.  There are quite a few posts out there where I say "I'm no expert on this," or "well, I'm stumped - hopefully someone else can help," or similar.

Can you please refer to a specific post where I said (or even implied) that someone having a legitimate issue was an idiot?  Additionally, I'd love to see the post where I told someone to F off.  If you cannot provide those, then that would be a misrepresentation of my character, which is pretty unacceptable by any standard.

So, you're asserting that the Boeing analogy (originally yours, again) is a bad one in your first paragraph, and then continue to use it through the rest of your argument...?  Very interesting...

Furthermore, there was a lot of negative sentiment about the NGX's multiple hotfix/SPs to fix all of the issues.  While I don't know for sure, it would appear that they are attempting to respond to those concerns from the last release by consolidating the fixes into one.

What does PMDG need to be introspective about?  From what it seems, you believe the forum is indicative of the vast majority of their audience, which it is not.  As I've said before, that doesn't mean that attention shouldn't be paid to them, but the way in which you portrayed PMDG isn't accurate.

...but, based on the innacurate (and hyperbolic) ways you're portraying me, that's not at all surprising.

You can keep up with your current facade on how you can demolish people. If that's all you care about, I guess I am so sorry for you. I have no intention of demolishing PMDG, only to want them to step up.

Again: step up to what?

...and also, again: can you please point to a post where I demolished someone?  While you might be able to find one where I pulled someone's argument apart for being factually inaccurate, I can guarantee you that you're not going to find one where someone has a legitimate help request and I simply demolished them outright.

Heck, even when I tell someone to read the manual, I generally tend to answer the question while also pointing them to a specific part of the manual.

For all the asserting of your position of honesty and reality, your posts seem to have very little of either.

Where did he tell anyone to 'F off'?

Thank you.

I'm only stepping back in because I appreciate a good debate, and if I think someone is posting something that has little basis in reality, I'll call them out on it.

Not quite.  Initially, my posts were very clearly indicative of the fact that the pot wasn't worth trying to stir in the first place.  After that, people started taking shots at me, so I came back to address them.

Take a serious look at any of my posts and you'll find that more often than not, I'm taking a shot at a person's opinion and not at the person him or herself.  I may not be warm and cuddly, but I tend not to take personal shots at people unless one happens to get shot in my direction first.

Starting to see a trend here Kyle, a trend that alot of people dont like you.

It's not a recent trend, honestly.  Those who can't handle the truth get upset because I don't coddle them if I disagree with what they said.  There are a good number of people who seem to be fine with my existence.  I wouldn't call them elated, but there's mutual respect.  That's all I care about.  If people don't like me, then they don't like me.

........< (start a sentance like you do when u wish to say something with attitude) '' it's all self inflicted though''

I start sentences with an ellipsis.  It's an indicator that, while separate from previous thoughts, the sentence is somehow more intimately related with the larger concept.  It's not simply an assault of extra punctuation simply to have extra punctuation.

Additionally, if you look at the time stamps of my posts (I'm not sure if they're all stamped in EDT, but make the appropriate compensation if not), you'll note 99% of my posting comes while I'm at work.  That said, the keyboard warrior pic isn't quite accurate.  I come here when I'm bored or when I'm between tasks at work.  There isn't a chance on this planet that I'd waste my time here arguing about some relatively meaningless topic over sleep, any associated activities.

So, I should really just be thanking for helping me pass my time at work, or general boredom.

Kyle Rodgers

Ahh, that explains alot...being bored at work

and whats the sig all about?

Its one thing talking to people in a condescending way, its another to advertise it. Sheesh and you get away with this on a daily basis

Whats the secret? :P

Seriosly, the sig does nothing to help your image, just saying.

Now go get on with some work!

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at.  I wouldn't quite call what I do condescending.  Like the questioned signature banner implies, my posts aren't overly friendly, but aren't intentionally condescending.  That said, I'm not sure what I'm getting away with.  Where I've stepped out of line, I've been corrected.

If anything is an actual "secret" it's that I don't often throw personal jabs in what I write, and try to address points made over attacking someone's character.

I'm not entirely concerned with my image, as I mentioned earlier.  While I changed my avatar image to appear a little more friendly (my good friend / frequent crewmember told me that it seemed sarcastic and unfriendly and a smile wouldn't hurt), the signature is there to add a little brightness and fluff to my otherwise dry (occasionally, arguably curt) posts.

Kyle, everyone else, With all due respect, can we all end this? Settle this? I don't mean to butt into the conversation, but perhaps a Skype call will settle this quicker than the forums?

While I don't think a settlement will be reached, I'll at least stop perpetuating the disagreement.  I've said my peace.

Kyle Rodgers

Still loving that people are downvoting posts simply because they don't agree with them.

There's a vast difference between disagreeing civilly and disagreeing petulantly.  I'll at least admit there are other viewpoints if they're backed up reasonably.  In another thread I noted some people prefer ATC add-ons over network ATC.  Even though I despise the former, there are definitely merits to them.

If I destroy your argument simply because it's weak, why not counter it by coming back with a better argument, or at least bow out gracefully without the knife in the back?

 Oh man, he picked apart my argument because it was nonsense.  I don't have anything to come back with, so I'll just downvote him.  That'll teach him!

You can't any more because they disabled the feature.  Too many actually helpful posts were being downvoted.
