How old are you, Roar?

Well, he has been simming since 1982, so you can do the maths yourself. Why the unnecessarily rude question?

How old are you, Roar?

Don't know exactly, but I still remember a meeting with Werner Voss and Manfred Von Richthofen at the Lagnicourt airfield in November 1916. You can guess from that.

Why are flight simmers so rude to each other?

Cause they have no fear of being hit with an upper cut! "It's better to have less thunder in the mouth and more lightning in the hand!"

(...) Why the unnecessarily rude question?

Robert's intention was to set up a reminder to PMDG's position regarding P3D and to clear up some misunderstandings carried by a number of AVSIM forum members.

The statement "PMDG aircrafts In P3D are all In the hands of Boeing and LM." doesn't really fit the bill (IMO ...).

My apologies for any rudeness or offence taken from my reply.

What happened to AVSIM

I am actually very encouraged by Capt. Randazzos statement. I think this certainly shows a willingness on his part to allow the use of PMDG products once his legal advisors advise him they receive a green light from Boeing and LM. It appears they are working on this. So I wish him well and hope for the best. I wish we would all do the same. Ask yourself this question. If P3D proves to be what we all hope it to be what does PMDG have to gain by not having P3D compatability. The answer is nothing. In fact they stand to lose a lot. So lets be patient and encouraging to LM and PMDG and Boeing. I think if it's possible to be done it will happen in time.

As there Boeing isn't obvisiously the reason, that PMDG doesn't join the P3D party, the question is WHY do they active prevent people from porting the 777 over???

Couldn't there be just a little sentence in the EULA that porting the 777 over to P3D will not be allowed (and Santa wouldn't bring you Xmas presents any more) and it is in everybody's own decision to do it illegaly or not ...?

If P3D v2 is the Next Big Thing, as we all hope, then PMDG wouldn't sell oe more piece to me (unfortunately)

It is funny to see sooooooo many people b*******ing about PMDG (will)not (be) supporting the new P3D and how they will "bojcot" upcoming releases. I bet more than half of those complaning will buy 777ER and 747v2 as soon as they are out. So stop being hipocritical.

I'm lost for words ...

And why?

Could you imagine an EULA is not binding anybody in every country?

Couldn't you imagine to step over a red signal despite it is forbiden, but no one else is on the street?

My simple question is, why they do active prevent to use their products, while many other companies could support P3D?

But I also see that the question is pointless as only PMDG could answer.

And it will also start an EULA war in any case (like it is really with any topic)

So, was just my opinion and I will stop discussing further about ...

The only one to blame for this is Microsoft and the US legal system.

Microsoft stopped development of FS11, sold only ESP to LM, and showed their distain for the entire flight sim community by developing Flight. The result: A split community, multiple platforms and a whole lot of confused simmers. It's sad, since the flight sim community is a relative small one, and it would be beneficial for all, developers and users, if we all could gather around one platform and one common standard of doing things.

For those of us who aren't confused or live life through the Oxford Dictionary's narrow definitions, life moves on, with or without PMDG. Happy learning and simming to all!
