November 26, 201312 yr Author Hello Robert, Mike, and Team! Reporting Live!!!! jajajaja! As I started the journey of re-installing things in my new FSX world, the issue has crawled back!!! At first, the only addon installed was the 777 and after a couple of loads, no problem. Then I proceeded to install FSDT KDFW and no problems there - Nice and smooth!!! Then I proceeded to install FSDT KJFK and this is where I started to notice a degradation in performance; still,. the 777 would load, but a lot slower than usual. After my initial installation of FSDT KJFK I got a weird message that said something to the extent of "unable to updated all sceneries", or something like that. I updated the Addon Manager with the FSDT addon manager install available from their website and re-ran my KJFK installer and it ran without problems but immediately after that and loading the 777 onto JFK,, the 777 bombed. I proceeded to recompile all my traffic .bgls using TTools to bring traffic to life and see what would happen. The 777 would load in places such as default KATL, KTKI, and KMIA, but as soon as I headed to KJFK - BOOM - lock-up. I will continue to test various things and continue to report my findings on this thread but I suspect there is a conflict of sorts with the FSDT Addon Manager. Back to work. Stay Tuined. November 27, 201312 yr Author Hello Team! Another update! I completely de-installed all FSDT sceneries, including Couatl and the Addon Manager. The 777 seems smoother now and I've been able to get it loaded into multiple airports. She's still slow to load but that is expected for an addon of this nature. The only problem now is that 9 out of 10 times when I hit the "ESC" key to quit the simulation, instead of going back to the main menu it simply crashes the sim. I am currently testing on a pristine FSX install plus AI traffic bgls. My next step is to delete all my traffic bgls and see how she performs. I'm trying to figure out if too much traffic around is too much for the 777 to handle. More to come. Dennis Sincerely, Dennis D. Müllert System Specs: MoBo: MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk WiFi ATX AM5. November 27, 201312 yr Author OK Team! After further testing, I am able to fly the 777 but: 1. Without any AI traffic enabled 2. Only with default scenery 3.No fancy addons enabled, except Opus FSX which is my weather system. My take is that this is a magnificent addon and a piece of art by PMDG but my measly 8 Core, i7 3770K, 32GB of RAM, 64 bit Windows 7 system can't handle it without stripping the simualtor down to a non-enjoyable state, and even like that the performance and stability is very questionable. I think for now this is going to go in the hangar until maybe an update comes out. I'll still be around in the forums patrolling for any hints, updates, recommendations. Thanks to everyone for the assistance so far. Dennis Sincerely, Dennis D. Müllert System Specs: MoBo: MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk WiFi ATX AM5. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Hi again, Dennis, Your "measly" system is a lot less "measly" than mine, but I still use addon scenery, including UK2000 Extreme Heathrow and Gatwick (but not FSDT). My specs should show by clicking on "My PC" to the left below the space for a picture. I fly with full AI, medium density scenery, and, while my framerates can dip into the 15/sec range at crowded addon airports, it's still very flyable. I rarely if ever get crashes due to the T7, and it loads in a normal amount of time. Frankly, your system should run circles around mine. You don't mention your graphics card. I presume you have a good one? Also, there are many threads about tuning your system, including in the PMDG forum. Something still needs adjusting, IMHO. Do you have your antivirus set to not scan the entire FSX folder? Mike

Only with default scenery3.No fancy addons enabled, except Opus FSX which is my weather system. Dennis, I don't think this is the case. Your system far surpasses mine, and I can easily fly into FlyTampa DXB with MyTraffic X 5.4 and AS2012 loaded in the T7. To me it sounds like something else. November 27, 201312 yr As a data point, since my re-install of FSX I have re-installed the following "stuff": FSDT Hawaii; Los Angeles; Las Vegas; Dallas/Ft. Worth; Chicago; GSX Flightbeam San Francisco and Dulles Ultimate Traffic set at 40% UTX GEX AS2012 EZDok Camera All PMDG products Also re-tuned FSX using Bojote' Altuve's tool located here: http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html No issues so far. November 27, 201312 yr Do you by any chance have "Soundstream" installed? I spent at least ten hours trying everything I could think of when my A2A Piper J-3 crashed FSX every time I tried to load it. Removed Soundstream and that was all it needed to solve the problem. Neal Howard
November 27, 201312 yr Author Hey Gang! Thanks again for the replies! My graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 and running the 331.82 latest drivers. The only background running programs I know of are ESET Nod32 antivirus and O&O Defrag. Everything else is clean. I will try Bojote's stuff again as well as the PMDG perfromance tunes to see what happens. Thanks! Dennis Sincerely, Dennis D. Müllert System Specs: MoBo: MSI MAG X870 Tomahawk WiFi ATX AM5. November 28, 201312 yr I've had the exact same thing just happen to me as has happened to Dennis! I've reinstalled FSX and fully brought everything back up to date and the same thing happened again.. I reinstalled Win7 64 on another SSD with only FSX and the T7 all worked well. I also added ActiveSky 2012 and FSUIPC (registered) and the T7 failed to load. I noticed that recent Windows Update contained a DirectX component and wonder if that might have something to do with this? Regards,Ted Panamarioff Kodiak Alaska
November 28, 201312 yr Hi Dennis, Your system is pretty much the same as mine and I have all my sliders set to the right and not one problem with the T7. It may be that some of your other software is causing problems with FSX if you've done a complete re-install and still getting problems. I don't know the FPS I get, but everything is running smoothly. Rob
November 28, 201312 yr Commercial Member Guys, This is an extremely odd issue - the 777's code isn't even executing yet when it's just sitting in the free flight window. The systems and heavy computation stuff don't start until the end of the 20 second countdown after loading into the actual sim. I will ask the coders if they have any thoughts on it since there's multiple people seeing it but I really can't imagine what this could possibly be coming from our end at least. November 28, 201312 yr Soundstream is a little Flight 1 program that keeps the sim sound audible when the mouse is moved to another monitor (or non-FSX window). Nice, but it does conflict with several add-ons so I disabled it Neal Howard
