November 29, 201312 yr Commercial Member Seems no matter what I try I've got "muddy" textures around me and blurry textures just beyond that. :( FPS are fine, airplane sharpness is great. Have a GTX 670 on board with 2GB. Anybody out there sharing my misery? Would just throwing a Titan in there solve this or is it something else? November 29, 201312 yr Noway would I drop cash on a Titan. Something else is going on. Your card is fine.
November 29, 201312 yr FXAA is disabled? It's not that blurries don't exist, it's just that when they do exist (which isn't too often) they are gone not soon after.. Would just throwing a Titan in there solve this or is it something else? there's an issue going on here i think, i've had a couple times where the ground textures near my plane refused to sharpen up at all, staying at very low resolutions, but i haven't figured out how to reproduce it yet, it doesn't happen all the time for me. in one of the cases when it was happening it magically fixed itself after i fiddled with the menu but it was really late and there was some whiskey involved and i don't remember what i did exactly. it wasn't a permanent fix either, but rather 'resetting' the engine by forcing a reload seemed to clear it up for a while and then it started happening again later... still investigating.. i have been flying with tesselation turned off and most sliders at middle or low settings so i don't think that it's related to pushing the card too much (gtx 650ti) cheers -andy crosby
November 29, 201312 yr Moderator I'v e had the same Clutch. I just kept flying and eventually P3D2 just disappeared. Still haven't figured out how or what triggered it. I've had it come and go on a few test flights, Can;t MAKE it happen unless I turn ALL sliders to max. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
November 29, 201312 yr Try adding AffinityMask to your cfg. It did the trick for me. I am using [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=14 This is for a quad core processor with HT turned off. Kay Morten Magelie
December 1, 201312 yr Author Commercial Member Thanks for the feedback guys.... After researching and taking your suggestions the main culprit seems to be the FSAA selection. Just by switching on/OFF you can see the difference. I can now see a lot better sharpness but still not as good as P3Dv1.4. So I think some other issues may be at play here - perhaps a certain combination turns something off but not maybe back on. Also, I have read there could be some blurries if your card is not quite up to snuff. Maybe I am overloading just to the point. I am still basically on default stuff here so it just may be I need to get a better card for the needed sharpness or maybe LM still has some tweaks they need to do.. That is, unless you guys are just seeing some razer sharp images. It's definitely flyable now. I think I what I want for Christmas... it comes in the form of 3GB, 4GB or 6GB! See my post: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/427801-blurry-texture-in-p3d-v2/ I can only guess that P3D2 is having some problems to recognize whether the texture in present view is fully loaded or not. As a side note I fly with tesselation on to full max and the same thing. 9950X3D / 64GB / RTX5090 / Pimax Crystal Light / Win11
