August 13, 200520 yr Oh, I use a laptop, too. I plan to trade parts of my soul and some hefty domestic promises for a heavy simming machine in a few months. Meanwhile, the Inspiron 8200 will do just fine.
August 13, 200520 yr As to "demo" versions....you may want take a look at our 30 day refund policy...it's been in place since day one.Whether you choose to "like" or not to "like" our products is a matter of your personal choice and it is certainly not our responsibilty to make such choices for you.:-)
August 13, 200520 yr "Imagine to yourself a producer of a highly regardedmotion picture questioning the ethics or qualification of amovie goer who simply did not like the movie."I'm sure it does happen, just not published."Even the Demo discussion reeks of money makingmotives."What other reason is there to do a commercial addon?"Someone brought up the point that the demo versions havevanished since 10 years ago. Well, that is simply incorrect. aquick look here http://dlx.gamespot.com/search/demos.html willprove my point. Not to mention the thousands of softwaredemo/trial versions."To be honest, I have most payware aircraft and quite a bit of scenery, most aircraft never/rarely get used after the initial use period of a few weeks. If there had been a demo for these, I would probably NOT have bought them as the interest would have dwindled and I would have moved on, so no, I don't think a demo is helpful in the case of commercial addon developers.BTW I still fly the ESDG aircraft more than most! August 14, 200520 yr Nice shots Martin.I agree with some of the above comments that Eaglesoft are the coolerist! ;) I always enjoy their stuff!Regards,
August 16, 200520 yr These are blurry buttons on the autopilot in the Eaglesoft Citaiton X VC. Does anyone out there get a clearer rendering than this? I memorize what their function is, because a few aren't quite readable. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/124781.jpgMy computer has GOBS of power in every measurable way, and I find myself not using this aircraft as much as I thought I would because of the "blurry fatigue". I have also found the 2d pop-up panels have some text that is barely readable. I don't so much worry about the buttons that aren't funtional, but I do like to be able to read the labels on the ones necessary to operate the aircraft. Anyway, I didn't want old Adam to be lynched all by himself when I think he had a valid criticism/observation of an aircraft that is very very nice, but not perfect. -ShawnI guess I should list my specs now to prove I don't have a laptop.DELL XPSP4 3.62 gigs Dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM PCI express 256mb NVIDIA 6800160gb RAID 0 array 10k rpm driveand my resolution is set at 1280X960
August 16, 200520 yr Hmm, mine at 1280X960 with an ATI X800 Pro doesn't show as much text blur on screen as your picture seems to show? May have lost a bit in the picture compression?
August 16, 200520 yr Could you post a shot of yours at the 2.0 zoom like I did. The more I look at my shot I do sense some slight degradation from what I see on my sim, but not a big difference. If there is something I have not tweaked properly I would like to get after it. I do like the aircraft and want as much quality as I can get out of it. A shot to compare would go a long way to guage if I am close to what can be expected. Thanks,Shawn
August 16, 200520 yr My experience is that screenshots approach what we all see in the sim but as in the pics of the Boeing above show...some degradation always happens to screenshots.A better judgement is probably to asess what you see on screen and try to evaluate usability from there, given that monitors and video cards vary so much. :-)
August 16, 200520 yr i was wondering if could recomend a business jet payware with functional fmc with atc legs ,sids and star procedures.....the premier I from eaglesoft has functional FMC like PMDG ?
August 16, 200520 yr >i was wondering if could recomend a business jet payware with>functional fmc with atc legs ,sids and star procedures.....>>the premier I from eaglesoft has functional FMC like PMDG ?None of the Eaglesoft Jets contain fully functional FMCs at this time and we are unaware of any Business Jets that do contain fully functional FMCs :-)
August 16, 200520 yr I run the X on a desktop and I also find the VC to be blurry and somewhat slow to refresh on my machine. Even the 2D panels can be a little hard to read. I have similar results with the CJ1 and Citation II. Other than for perspective for taxi, takeoff, and landing I don

August 17, 200520 yr I agree with regards to the poor quality of the VC in some Eaglesoft products.have had this argument before and obviously the developer is going to attempt to tell you otherwise which is fair enough. As a customer I considered it a poor rendition of a modern bizjet cockpit (ie blurred) compared to addons made by other manufacturers (Flight1, RealAir etc)RegardsAdamPS Would recommend the FSD Avanti - great fun to fly and fantastic looking aeroplane
