I love this jet, for my imaginary long range corporate taxing, and then borrowing it for personal flights ;)

>>While it is apparent that you are a PMDG fan there is no>reason to make comparisons since they build what they build>and we do Corporate Jets of a different sort.>>It seems like an apples and oranges comparison to us:-)I agree, as you can see from my sig, I buy from all the major players and there is no need for comparing them. PDMG do what they do very well and Eaglesoft do what they do very well. I like them both.

>If you like PMDG then understand Eaglesoft is on the same>level (minus FMC development). First, this is a huge "minus". Second I don't think this is a reasonable statement, even not counting the FMC. I don't think it is even fair to compare PMDG with Eaglesoft - they are meant for different markets, they vastly differ in the amount of effort they out in their products. Such comparison is neither fair to PMDG nor to Eaglesoft.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2

I love both PMDG and Eaglesoft, but I was looking for something different. I stumbled onto the SCDS YAK-40, and ever since I got i've been hooked. I'd give it a look and try downloading the demo, you won't regret it! :) http://east-intel.com

Sorry pmdg has by far the worst performing VC but the most beautiful. If the pmdg vc works but the X vc runs slower... something seems a little weird. It should be the other way around. Anyway, I just can't fly the pmdg ng because of the horrible frames in the VC. I recommend eaglesoft, I purchased the citation X and enjoyed it but am in the mood for heavy freighters lately.

Michael Eaglesoft is one of the top designers out there. My statement was not ment as to compare so much as to say both developers are equally good at what they do. You can't beat the ES Citation X nor can you top the PMDG 737NG. I wouldn't want to do without anyone of those birds...

Thanks for your responses I am sorry this thread has been dragged off topic somewhat.I had another play with the Citation X from Eaglesoft last night at my friends house on his new PC. I stand by my original comments. I like to fly from the VC in most situations but the Citation X VC is difficult to read and the refresh rate is poor (and I can find no way of adjusting it unlike with PMDG/Aeroworx addons). Externally it is a lovely looking aircraft but I dont buy FS addon aircraft for the external eye-candy.Best of luck with whatever Business jet the original poster decides to purchase!RegardsAdam

Adam, take a look at our Reviews Page. Then take a look at our Customer Comments Page. After completing that assignment take a look at Flightsim.com designating the CX as Product of the Year! Finally reread this thread carefully and try listening to your fellow simpilots. It would seem that a majority of simmers love the CX and you are in the minority. While you are welcome to your opinion please realize that your negative view of our product pales in comparison to qualified reviewers in various publications including Computer Pilot Magazine and PC Pilot Magzine. We suggest that you do not purchase the Eaglesoft CX under any circumstances:-)

Hello RonYes I have seen the reviews on various websites. I am sure many people love your product. So do I - apart from the quality of the VC.You say "qualified reviewers". How are they qualified? I am an accredited journalist, member of the UK NUJ (National Union of Journalists) since 1984 and a qualified Private Pilot since 1986. I'd say that makes me at least EQUALLY as qualified to publish my thoughts on a product related to flight simulation.RegardsAdam

Adam, very impressed to hear of your journalistic background. Laying aside your qualifications and your personal opinion of our product we were curious about your background and whether you were being an "objective journalist" or simply another complainer who didn't even own the product in question.Glad to hear that you are qualified. By the way, do you have any flightsim reviews published?

Adam I have some questions for you,1. What video card is in the system you tested the CX on.2. What drivers are being used on that machine.3. What type/size monitor are you using...Ooh and please don't tell me it's a laptop...

You know how you get crushes on... well, maybe I ought to use another metaphor.Anyway, not too long ago, I took the Premier out of mothballs and stuck the RXP Jetline 4 package in it. I have been flying it a lot, and kicking myself for ignoring it for so long. The Eaglesoft jets are good choices, and the people behind them are reliable. I use the CII and Hawker a lot these days, as well.

The fact that you are trying to shake the credibility of an unsatisfied customer (even if not a 100% percent customer) is truly astounding and disgusting. An honest person would apologize for not succeeding to satisfy a potential customer and let it go. Is it so hard to believe that someone might not like your product? As good as it may be (And I am pretty sure that it is quite good even if I have not tried it personally), you can not argue about personal opinion. Imagine to yourself a producer of a highly regarded motion picture questioning the ethics or qualification of a movie goer who simply did not like the movie. Is this another step in the commercialization of the add-ons industry ? Even the Demo discussion reeks of money making motives. If you are so impolite and rude as to question the credibility of someone who has tried your software, is it that difficult to give a straight and honest answer about the real reason that there aren't any demo versions (It's "Because we are afraid that we will make less money .")?.Someone brought up the point that the demo versions have vanished since 10 years ago. Well, that is simply incorrect. a quick look here http://dlx.gamespot.com/search/demos.html will prove my point. Not to mention the thousands of software demo/trial versions.
