Payware business jets?

Featured Replies

Hello, Was wondering if anyone could reccommend or direct me to any payware business or private jets? The only one I could find was a Lear 60 from perfect flight, but I am not happy with the quality of the panel, from the screenshots that I have seen, and it was way too expensive for the quality. The model looked pretty good though and I like one of the paints with the nose of the airplane was covered in blood, pretty cool. Thanks,Jeff USAF

Eaglsoft has the best there is...

Also Jeff, I highly recommend FSD's new Avanti. Although it's a propjet, it can keep up with a Citation 1 and burns less fuel. It has very good fps as well.If you want something faster and even more sophisticated, Eaglesoft's Citation X is as good as they come. I don't have the "X", but I do have their Premier, 400A, CJ-1 and C-II. -John

Just went to their site, and they look pretty good. ThanksJeff USAF

Thanks telling me about FSD, their products look really good too. I don't like the way the Avanti looks, which has nothing to do with FSD, it's just an ugly airplane, but I was glad to see that they had a lot of GA light twins which I've been looking for as well.Jeff USAF

Jeff:Eaglesoft's Citation X is hard to beat IMHO.For a bit longer range however, you might try a freeware Gulfstream. For a start, A few downloads for your consideration:g100-moz.zipG-IV Pax Source files.zipgulfst04.zipgulfstream-ivv3.zipgulfstream-v-updated.zipgulfstream-v.zip (Partial Download by Peter Brun)ldgv1.2.zip (Complete Download by Peter Brun)gulf5.zip (By Mike Stone)uafgulf.zipDo a search and you can find many more I am sure. I still have a carry over or two from past FS versions as well which fly well on FS9.One piece of advice: After installation of your preferred choice, check a real world Gulfstream site for performance specs. Then edit your aircraft.cfg accordingly. (This is by far not unique to Gulfstreams. I do it on almost all of my aircraft, free or payware.) For as much realism as possible, you may need to edit MTOW, empty wt, fuel load, the trust scaler, and the fuel_flow _scaler. It takes a bit of time along with trial and error flights, but is worth it to me personally. As always, make a backup save of what you start with so that you can start over if Murphy's law takes over. The Gulfstream V is one of my favorites with a range of over 5,000 miles and possible cruise altitude of over 50,000 feet.Good luck and I hope you find one that pleases you.RTH 1585368CFI

If you want a Gulfstream I can send you what I've been working on. I haven't released it do to it not being up to my standards and parties that agreed to fix certain issues have pulled out. As it stands right now it would have been the best freeware GV out there until Eaglesoft released theirs...

I agree, Eaglesoft Citation X, is the best there is.

Thanks Dillion:I am pretty pleased with what I've got (with my on tweaking, editing, panel mod's etc.) but am always open to take at a peek at a new Gulfstream V. It still is my favorite Exec. Jet free or payware (to say nothing of real world - no I don't fly one darn it.)[email protected] is my email address.I appreciate the offer.Happy flying:RTH

Files have been sent, let me know (and others) what you think... :-)

Hello,I have them ALL - the Citations from Eaglesoft and the Avanti from FSD. The Citations are great sims but while the Avanti may be ugly, it is a HOOT to fly! It behaves better than any A/C of its ilk that I have. I'm just a sim pilot so my observations are restricted to the sim world.Happy flying - you will be fine with any of the Eaglesoft or the FSD sims.Ron SagelNear KCHS

what about the 737 BBJ and 737 BBJ2? PMDG make pretty good versions of these.

Does the FSD Avanti have its own sound or does it use the default FS9 KingAir sound?Avanti ugly? Jeez, I think it's one of the most elegant, unique, and beautiful airplanes in the world. Italian style ... all the way.Bill

PMDG stated they would do the BBJ after the 747-400... I hope they keep to their word... I actually would have preferred the BBJ done first to complete the 737NG series before jumping to a whole new aircraft, that would seemed to have made more since (plus people wanted the BBJ).Ooh Well....:-roll

Perfect Flight is a complete joke. Just looking at their poorly done panels (thats an understatement) makes me want to vomit. However, I'll admit that thier visual models appear to be done fairly well. I'll never buy from them.Like others have said, Eaglesoft's Citation is the way to go.Mike
