I found out what I hope is the problem at my end. When I updated my cleaner software it automatically rechecked the "clean tapatalk" option(had it unticked before), clearing the cookies from it. Others might want to check this aswell.

Thanks ANZ and Tom for pointing me in the right direction.

Cool, signed in on both my devices I'll report back if I have a problem.

Tom, you mean I'll have to check avsim at least once every 7 days on each device?! ...oh, I might be able to manage that  B)

Well done, team.

Well, that is a clue to what may be happening. Okay, here's the story; we set a cookie on your device in which is a "log in key". That log in key had been set to 3 days. I have now set that to expire after 7 days. If you do not use your device within 7 days of your last log on, then the key becomes void and you must log in again. If the Guest limiter is on, you won't be able to do that. A different key is placed on each of your devices, so you must use them or loose the key. That explains why some people could get on and other not and certainly is the reason (it appears) that yours worked and then didn't.

This also applies to desktops, laptops or X... If you do not visit AVSIM at least once every 7 days, you will be forced to sign in.

ANZ, thanks for the tip. That helps us draw back a bit from going absolutely insane...

Well Tom, sorry to say that I do not think this is the full problem due to pure fact. One of my devices failed the login at the time of my post, even though it had been used 2 days earlier.

But now for the proof in the pudding so to speak. My phone has worked perfectly for the past few days (after you lifted the guest restriction to enable me to log in again). Used 4 or 5 times a day without fail and then this morning - six hours after Nicks post above and 12 hours after my last use? - No Tapatalk !!!!

Sadly it has to be more than a cookie problem as just logged in through my 1980's style desktop device. So two 2013 mobile devices are now down and out and the desk top is a bit too heavy to cart around

I turned guest moderating back on at about noon EST today, after having turned it off late yesterday afternoon.

Then why would it change my Tapatalk settings that allowed me to login as a registered user i.e. worked for a period of time when guest moderation was either on or off at Avsims end?

Anyhow, heading north in search of a little sunshine for a week or so and can't fit my desktop pc into the boot of the car! See you after Easter (will miss Avsim though)

When the blocker will be off? I formatted my phone and can't access via Tapatalk...

Yes it is. I shut down the "guest limiter" earlier and will keep it down until sometime tomorrow morning EST.

Great stuff ....... working fine from phone and tab. The missus says many thanks because the desktop pc was a bit heavy in bed with my morning coffee.

Thank you, reenabled on phone and iPad now. Maybe you could do this at regular time (twice a month) intervals so we know when to login instead of trying every day?

Still not working for me.

Did you see my post above? I turned on guest limiting again this morning.
