February 19, 201412 yr The EFIS range and format knobs are inop. Wanted to quote this as I am seeing the same. Regards,Brian Doney
February 19, 201412 yr Installation did indeed mess up my FSUIPC installation too, although it was easily fixed. Still, to be honest I expect a bit more from QualityWings. Ok I am getting confused (not hard for me). Did Pete change the way that FSUIPC is used (using the loader.dll now instead of the regular FSUIPC4.dll)? Was this a mistake by Pete or is it a new thing? Is this change needed for ASN users? Or is this all just a problem for people who manually added this line to the dll.xml? Sorry to sound so uninformed. Al Stiff
February 19, 201412 yr I thought the loader.dll was a dll that you use if using windows8 and having hanging problems. Took a manual install. Iv never used it.
February 19, 201412 yr A few things: 1) It does another install of FSUIPC. I uninstalled the version I had then re-installed the latest from the Schiratti's page. Everything worked 2) The EFIS range nob IS INOP. I know QW stated they were done, but could we get a fix on that please? 3) If you are adverse to the addon manager, then you will not be happy here. I've had zero issues with the FSDT program so I have had no issues, but do be warned. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma

Sorry to sound so uninformed. Well here is the strange thing, Umberto stated it needs to be manually installed, and it is for tracking simconnect errors. Well, I never manually installed it whatsoever, but it turned up after updating fusipc to 927 for ASN to work. I have a strange feeling that at the time I downloaded from Pete's forum, I unknowingly got the test version. I guess when Pete gets back we will know for sure what is up then. Al Stiff

Sorry to sound so uninformed. I'm not entirely sure Al. I just know that I installed this new full installer for QW757 SP3, went into FSX, and immediately noticed that my controller assignment for 'Parking Brake' was not working. On checking the FSX menu I saw that it was because FSUIPC was now missing. A quick reinstall and all was fine - including my fsuipc.cfg settings all still being safe and well. But the Addon Manager is just somewhere I am "never going" again, so sadly I won't be using this product. But of course, we should all make our decisions based on our own experiences. If there are people who have no problems with Virtuali's Addon Manager then they can happily take advantage of this product. My experience was one of many problems, crashes and badly timed updates, and hence Addon Manager will never be part of my set up.
February 19, 201412 yr I have still problems with the thrust. After takeoff the airplane does not hold its speed restriction of 250 kts. It accelerates up to 280 kts, then it reduces power dramatically. I am a bit disappointed about this fact. February 19, 201412 yr I don't have any problems with the EFIS... what FS are you using? which specific plane, 200 or 300? which cockpit, retro or main? VC or 2D popup EFIS? Jay
February 19, 201412 yr I don't have any problems with the EFIS Nor do I - and while I haven't exhaustively check everything, everything I have seen has been a very nice upgrade - not quite to the level of their 146/Avro (which I have also), but a very enjoyable aircraft...

It might only be in the retrofitted flight deck. If no one else can get to it before me, I will try later. Regards,Brian Doney
February 19, 201412 yr Commercial Member Gentlemen, If I may add. In the retrofit cockpit. You must move the toggle switch over to the right on the EFIS Control Panel to control the full sized EHSI. By default the switch is in position to control the miniature EHSI below the EADI. On the standard cockpit there is no need for this step because there is only one EHSI for each Pilot, and the respective EFIS Control panel for it. The retrofit cockpit is very cool. It's based on the retrofit made by a major avionics outfit. The exact cockpit is quite common on ABX Air's 767-200s, and now a few of American Airlines' 757 and 767-300 Fleet.
February 19, 201412 yr Well there ya go, that's likely what I was seeing  Thanks Emil. :drinks: Regards,Brian Doney
February 19, 201412 yr After reading this thread I quickly dipped into my modules folder and made a manual back up of all the FSUIPC files before installing the 757SP3. It didn't overwrite my existing FSUIPC files... Hmmmm. I know some of the older Captain Sim installers had an annoying habit of overwriting existing FSUIPC files. BTW, after a quick spin around EGMH yesterday afternoon the new 757SP3 is pretty nice. Always had a soft spot for the 757, definitely my favourite Boeing. Nick
February 19, 201412 yr Small update: It seems that the retrofit EFIS controls are not available in the VC, which is why I had trouble. If this is one of the things that you guys decided to leave out, that's totally fine, just wanted to make a note of it. I'll likely use the original setup anyway. Regards,Brian Doney
