March 24, 201412 yr Because then you can't fly RNAV, which is becoming more and more of a requirement now a days. Then, why not a fully functional EHSI? Artist rendition:
March 24, 201412 yr Lol! Argh yes Bill is right... MV does offer all variants with the FMS. I just never use the older one with the FMS as it makes no sense. Perhaps RWF was using the SP77 with the FMS? In that case there's not a great way of telling course deviation other than looking at the next track to waypoint. EHSI - that's 737-300/400/500 territory.... | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
March 24, 201412 yr Ive come to the conclusion I'm just looking for a good high quality 3,4 and 500 series.
March 24, 201412 yr You guys are aware of the fact that the early 737 classics already had the FMS with the CDUs of the later models but still had the old style HSI and ADI? That's definitely all you need to have full awareness!
March 24, 201412 yr Yeah, I flew on a SWA 737 classic into KLAX from KLAS a couple springs back.... https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/cpvhVayB9TaEeDc8vQbb7tMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink Al Stiff

Yep - Alaska few two of these planes for years with FMS installed but with the steam driven HSI...infact, they were one of the combi/gravel kit models that MLVis used as the starting point for the 737. March 25, 201412 yr I vote for Milviz, bought at pre-order and have been happy with the airplane, plus so many updates and fixes. Instead of CS release then drop off the map and ignore everyone.
March 25, 201412 yr Commercial Member If nothing else, this thread convinced me to pull the MV 737 out of the hangar and fly it for a bit! Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
