March 23, 201412 yr CS of course. If you pick a classic, it should be pure classic. Those modern gauges spoil the fun. CS 737 has really cool repaints, retro style of course. And you can´t beat the price while on sale.
March 23, 201412 yr Go for the milviz 737. Awesome product with amazing support. A mate of mine got me to purchase the CS version as they had a few more liveries. Out of the box I had sound issues. I couldn't resolve them. Their support was aggressive and arrogant to the point where I just gave up. Milviz all the way. All their products are top shelf. Hirdy
March 23, 201412 yr I own both and hands down it's the MilViz bird. (it was my first MilViz purchase to boot so it's not like I am a ######) It has had it's bugs but the recent patch has it running really well and the MilViz crew has done a great job addressing the few issues it did have. Not to mention it is much more robust (different cockpit layouts, cabin configs and A/P's etc....). The night lighting is also breath taking. (cant say the same for CS 732) My only beef is the lack of liveries from the community. The paint kit is tough to work with they say, outside of that I love it ten fold over the CS version.... (EDIT: for the life of me I have no idea why the word F x A x N B x O x Y is being filtered by AVSIM?) Al Stiff
March 23, 201412 yr The night lighting is also breath taking. (cant say the same for CS 732) Woow hands down on that! I'm a night flyer and couldn't stand an aircraft with bad lightning! It's such a pleasure to fly the 732 at night with cockpit lights dimmed, something like this: Jaime Beneyto My real life aviation and flight simulation videos [English and Spanish] System: i9 9900k OC 5.0 GHz | RTX 2080 Super | 32GB DDR4 3200MHz | Asus Z390-F
March 23, 201412 yr That sort of night lighting is exactly what I have on my night flights with the Tupolev Tu-154. I switched off all lights apart from the gauge backlighting, which is pretty much turned on as you power up the plane. And it looks so real... everything completely dark apart from the lights from roads, buildings, your gauges and the runway. (Of course, landing lights are turned on during approach) Of course, the pedestal and overhead, engineer panel are lighted up. But it's not what you're watching during approach and takeoff. The immersion... one word... amazing! Makes me never go back to captain sim 757 where the night lighting is pretty much awful
March 23, 201412 yr Author Thanks again for the information, gents. Very helpful ! Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org

When flying it over T2G MMMX it reminds me of this clip from my JustPlanes Aviacsa 732 DVD. Al Stiff
March 24, 201412 yr I prefer the CS737 due to better Vc graphics. I really dont care for an FMC either since there is no EHSI. I cant tell if I'm on course or not. At least using the CS732 and the RealityXP GPS, I can tell if Im on course. I also prefer the older 77 AP. lot a fun to use once your familiar with it. Im sure the Milz is very good also though. Just my preference.Yes you can... Use the CDI on the HSI. Make sure the FMS button on the MCP is pressed. Also the comment to you from the other poster was out of line IMHO. Everyone is at different steps in FSX. That's the beauty of Milviz bird - FMS or not.... Adv autopilot or not.... March 24, 201412 yr I'm working on the SP77 myself, and have been finding and fixing stuff as it's reported. At the moment it is doing what it is designed to do. : Thanks, Bill. Being a primitive myself, I am mainly interested by the SP77. I gather then that, getting back to my SID example of the previous post, the SP77 would catch the outbound radial and that without any wobbling ? March 24, 201412 yr The CS 737 looks nice, but my criticism of it concerns the flight dynamics during a banking turn. If you bank the aircraft, the nose drops, and you start to lose altitude (assuming no control or throttle inputs). This is fine, except that the nose should start to rise again as the speed increases. However, the CS 737 just carries on down until it hits the ground. In other words, a death spiral. That might sound irrelevant to some of you, but it is incredibly annoying for me. March 24, 201412 yr The Captain sim one is great if you like the crash to desktop feature, and the rocket ship like engines. Also, the lack of support is also comforting. Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist
March 24, 201412 yr Milviz or Captain Sim 732? Milviz! It's exponentially better in every area. And Milviz update and improve their product (a 732 update just came out last week), whereas when it comes to sales & customer service, Captain Sim tend to "set and forget".
March 24, 201412 yr I would just like to point out that my criticism of the CS737-200 is not a criticism of Captain Sim as a developer. I also have the 707, and that is one magnificent bird. March 24, 201412 yr Thats tru Bill. But seems that wouldnt be a realistic scenario. Might as well let the GPS control the flight path in that case as it would in a RW situation..Dont know but seems if one was going to the expense of adding an FMC to the flight deck avionics they would add an EHSI also? Not saying its wrong or bad. Just each to their own believes and comforts.
