May 2, 201412 yr This won't affect repaints will it? This bit made me look! "Welded vertices on certain parts of the external models for fit and finish" The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
May 2, 201412 yr Moderator This won't affect repaints will it? This bit made me look! No, it won't affect repaints. There were a few 'un-welded vertices' on the pax door and the aft cargo door that would cause a few polygons to turn nearly black under specific lighting conditions. Funny that in all the years that the C310R has been out, no one ever noticed this! Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
May 2, 201412 yr Cheers Bill. Now, if only I could find where to get the blasted update! Flight1 'My account' leads me nowhere and downloading the aircraft again is the same file! I have a dim recollection of having to jump through the same hoops before. Whether it was a Milviz product or some other I can't say. Grrr! The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
May 2, 201412 yr Ron, I found the updated C310 by going to the MILVIZ site, selecting the C310 page, then choosing the Flight1 purchase option. I believe this is the SP3 version if my eyes didn't deceive me this morning before my cup pot of coffee. My updated T38 was direct download as I had purchased directly from MILVIZ. May 2, 201412 yr I'm getting seriously tee'd off now. I really can't remember where I bought it but I downloaded the one from Flight1 and am told that it's run out of installs. So I trot off the get more installs. Then I'm told I've had too many goes at authorisation and call back in a short while. An hour later I'm still getting the same response! I downloaded it from Milviz' site and that won't go through because I obviously didn't buy it direct. I'm beginning to wonder how bothered I am about "un-welded vertices" The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA
May 2, 201412 yr Ron, I was having the same problem this morning, and may be a problem between MILVIZ and F1. The Flight1 authenticator said I didn't have the product (C310) associated with my account, so I first reset the activations using the process at Flight1 and received a positive that it had been reset, however that still didn't work and gave me the same error. I then tried to have a keyfile emailed to me, and that went through, but I cannot remember the last four of the CC that I used to purchase it and my account password doesn't work to unlock the product using the key. All the previous installers worked (including the out-of-date one available directly from F1) to unlock it, so I'm guessing there's some disconnect between the new SP3 version and our accounts. I'm planning on emailing Kat back tonight after work to ask, but if you find anything out I'd appreciate if you could update the thread. :good: Philip Manhart :American Flag: - "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something." ~ Plato
May 2, 201412 yr Commercial Member There are TWO versions of the F1 C310R installer. One off of the F1 site and one off of ours. The one on F1 hasn't been updated yet. While it was installing I'm thinking 'This ain't right' EDIT: All is calm once more. Thanks for sorting it Colin. The World is divided into two groups. May 2, 201412 yr It is a pity that you did not bother to tell me in your email that. You had stopped the updated C310R version from working in P3dv2.2 ,my New version is no longer compatible with P3dv2.2 ,little message stating not for p3d v2.2 pops up ah well no more Milviz updates or new products for me Peter
May 2, 201412 yr Can anyone tell me why the updated version of the C310R is no longer compatible with P3dv2.2 Peter
May 2, 201412 yr Commercial Member It was made clear to all users of our products that using the product in anything other than FSX was out of EULA though we would, for the moment, allow it. That moment has now passed for the C310R and the T-38A. In fact, it is clearly stated on this forum that we would be doing updates to all of our products and that we would do exactly this. (that post is here :http://forum.avsim.net/topic/428848-p3d-v2/) I am sorry that you feel that we somehow lied to you... but that is not the case. We will be releasing a v2 native product line shortly. This product will be significantly reduced for those who have already purchased the FSX product in question. We will also allow for those who wish both sims. LIke it or not, this is exactly like FS9 to FSX and we are treating it as such. May 2, 201412 yr It is so rare to see developers updating their products after 3 years from their release date. That means a lot for Milviz's dedication to quality and customer support, and is much more important than the small and quickly solved download bugs caused from patch release stress. All in All, thank you Milviz team for your efforts.
