May 2, 201412 yr We will be releasing a v2 native product line shortly. This product will be significantly reduced for those who have already purchased the FSX product in question. We will also allow for those who wish both sims. I'm very much looking forward to this, because outside of Lionheart, A2A and Aerosoft, no one else beside MILVIZ makes aircraft that I'm very much interested in purchasing. I know Carenado/Alabeo are supporting, but I prefer more substance behind the front cover of not only books I purchase, but the virtual aircraft I fly. May 3, 201412 yr Moderator Can anyone tell me why the updated version of the C310R is no longer compatible with P3dv2.2 Peter Peter, models compiled for P3Dv2.2 native format simply will not work in FSX at all. So, if we are to truly "go native" and take full advantage of the improvements that P3Dv2.x+ supports, there's no real choice but to compile separate installers. The same hard decisions had to be made with regards to the FS9 model format and the native FSX model format. Fr. May 3, 201412 yr The Flight1 authenticator said I didn't have the product (C310) associated with my account, so I first reset the activations using the process at Flight1 and received a positive that it had been reset, however that still didn't work and gave me the same error. I've been having exactly the same problem with the MV C310 for a long time now. I contacted Flight 1 support about this maybe a year or so ago and they weren't much help, basically told me nobody else was having this problem and they couldn't do anything for me. I am absolutely positive I am entering the correct credentials and I have also tried using the key to install, and I get a message telling me I am using the wrong key. Just tried again with the new SP3 installer and still getting the same error: If someone at MilViz wants to help me out I'd be happy to provide my Flight 1 order number and proof of purchase certificate number. It's strange really because I have literally dozens of addons purchased through Flight 1 over the years and this is the only one that has ever given me problems. Nick
May 3, 201412 yr It's strange really because I have literally dozens of addons purchased through Flight 1 over the years and this is the only one that has ever given me problems. Have you tried just getting a list of all your Flight1 orders, https://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=lostorder just to make sure the 310 is in there? gb. YSSY. May 3, 201412 yr So did this C310 service pack do nothing (not mentioned) to resolve the issue some of us were having with extreme lighting from the landing lights when in cruise flying with the sun behind from dusk into darkness? The "fix" that was promised to me in January of 2013? May 3, 201412 yr Commercial Member It wasn't a promise. It was a "we'll see if we can fix it". And no, sadly, not without removing the cool lights. It's a toss up and seeing as it only happens with a berg few customers, the decision was made to leave it as is. Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. May 3, 201412 yr Now when the official update is out, Simmarket customers haven't got any message about it? We received the notification about the unfinished update...
May 3, 201412 yr Commercial Member There's nothing I can do about simmarket or flightsim shop not posting the updated files. I've mailed them both twice and not gotten a response. May 3, 201412 yr Now when the official update is out, Simmarket customers haven't got any message about it? Unfortunately some of the online stores can be very slow making updates available, or in some cases don't make the update availabe at all (I'm still very unimpressed that Flightsimstore never updated my Carenado C337 for XP10 to v2). That's why whenever possible I purchase direct from the developer - it means I am guaranteed to get the latest updates as soon as possible and all the money goes direct to the developer instead of the middle man taking a slice. Nick
May 3, 201412 yr If you look just a few threads below, you will notice that Simmarket provided the update already. The problem was, that the maker sent hastily an unfinished update to that store. I was only wondering that now when everything is ok, the process seems to be halted. Also I don't mind waiting, because I will receive a hassle free exe, with no false virus alarms, no wrong verification codes or whatever is expected from other sources. Just execute and go fly... Talking from experience.
May 3, 201412 yr After providing MilViz with my proof of purchase they have provided me with a new installer for the C310 that doesn't use the Flight 1 wrapper. Thanks to MilViz for the prompt support and resolving my problem! Nick
May 3, 201412 yr It was made clear to all users of our products that using the product in anything other than FSX was out of EULA though we would, for the moment, allow it. That moment has now passed for the C310R and the T-38A. In fact, it is clearly stated on this forum that we would be doing updates to all of our products and that we would do exactly this. (that post is here :http://forum.avsim.net/topic/428848-p3d-v2/) I am sorry that you feel that we somehow lied to you... but that is not the case. We will be releasing a v2 native product line shortly. This product will be significantly reduced for those who have already purchased the FSX product in question. We will also allow for those who wish both sims. LIke it or not, this is exactly like FS9 to FSX and we are treating it as such. I'm guessing he and I both missed the meaning of that post in that I assumed that for this was meant new products, not current ones. I bought the 310 for sole use in V2 with the thought in my head that it was ok since it was an old product, oh well I'll just keep flying the old version since I never noticed any issues with it anyway. May 3, 201412 yr Commercial Member Old has nothing to do with it. It's not free, it's not allowed and it's not cool (or legal). You can now, for 9.99 USD, get a valid version (if you're an older C310/T-38A purchaser) of either product. Wouldn't you prefer to stay on the side of light? As well, that post is pretty darned clear about the intent to do as we're doing. Please contact oisin at milviz dot com for forum registration information. So your saying I should give you $10 for something I already paid for just so its approved for P3DV2 when it was intended as a P3Dv2 use only add-on? Or is that ok as long as I don't use it in FSX?
