July 17, 201411 yr We were given a new 22KHz soundset to test that you will be able to enable in the Operations Center. I finished testing it and I did notice a 3-4% decrease in total VAS usage on two identical flights. Keep in mind my system never experiences OOM or VAS errors because I've tuned FSX correctly according to my hardware, but even so I did see a difference. Simmers with lower end hardware that frequently experience these types of issues should see a much more noticeable difference. There is a slightly noticeable difference between the quality of the stock and 22KHz soundsets. At a lower bitrate the 22KHz set has a more tinny, higher pitched effect on all the sounds. It definitely didn't detract from the quality of the sim, but for those that don't need the extra VAS % you should stick with the stock sounds because they do sound a bit richer. And no...I have no idea when this will release. Don't even ask. AJ Pongress
July 17, 201411 yr Author Isn't there also a 5.1 sound pack that is being released too? Yes, external packages. Also -- http://forum.avsim.net/topic/245586-you-must-sign-your-full-real-name-to-posts-to-use-this-forum-posts-without-names-will-be-deleted/ AJ Pongress

With reduced VAS usage, are you able to exit from the FSX main menu without crashing FSX? Harry Sung
July 17, 201411 yr Author Will this feature come with SP1? With reduced VAS usage, are you able to exit from the FSX main menu without crashing FSX? 1. Yes. 2. I never crash on exiting FSX, not since deleting FSINN. Sign your posts guys, so they don't get deleted. AJ Pongress

July 17, 201411 yr Commercial Member I use vPilot on a networked PC I switched a couple weeks ago. Will never look back. The TrafficProxy smoothing for networked situations is epic. Looks SO much better! Kyle Rodgers
July 17, 201411 yr Author What do you use instead of FSINN? Squawk box? vPilot networked. So clean and hassle free. FSINN is forever banned from my pc. AJ Pongress
July 17, 201411 yr Silly question... If im using vPilot, I don't need FSInn? What about those 6 lights on the right hand bottem part of the screen. I was under the impression that, that software was used to connect your client to your sim. Basically, if I have vPilot, is that all I need? Thanks!
