July 21, 201411 yr The 777 is a mighty fine airplane, but unfortunately I find there are too many limitations in FSX with it. With the NGX I can just turn on all the FSX bells and whistles and fly all day without having to wonder if I will make it to my destination. No freezing, pausing or OOMs. Thank you PMDG for making such an outstanding product. I have a blast with it every time! Daniel Nilsson
July 22, 201411 yr Thank you PMDG for making such an outstanding product. I have a blast with it every time! Yep, that NGX is pure pleasure. I think she will remain my favourite for a while to come still. But I am sure PMDG will sort out the issues with the 777. So far, I have only had one minor issue with it, but working around it was so simple that it hardly merits a mention. When I read about some of the problems others are facing, I really consider myself somehow very fortunate to have dodged any major issues. That said, KQ 761 is cruising nicely on its way to HKJK, and after that arrives, it might be time for a Pegasus flight to EGSS. As you said, a blast every time. R. July 22, 201411 yr Commercial Member Yep, NGX is priceless in my eyes. When I load it up, and countdown hits zero, my satisfaction meter hits the roof when I see all these switches and knobs and hear tha most immersive soundset out there. And that is only the part before the flight. Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
July 22, 201411 yr Agreed! Been flying the 77W for fun - it ain't that much fun, to be honest. I invariably end up in the RH seat of the NGX. Yes, I fly from the co-pilots side... What of it!? As you rightly said, a blast every time! Brian Nellis Brian Nellis
July 22, 201411 yr The NGX is My favourite Bird. I don't have the T7 yet but I can imagine that Creating an immersive desktop simulator experience for an aircraft that size is automatically more difficult than it is for a much smaller aircraft like the 737. The NGX sure is a very immersive and compelling experience.
July 22, 201411 yr No, you should all be lined up and shot at dawn with a blindfold on . Seriously though, I still enjoy flying the NGX very much. I had a week's leave and did not fly anything but the NGX in that time, short hops and lots of interaction with the aircraft. The 777 is amazing and I love it to bits, but the NGX is never getting uninstalled - I fly it very often still! Kind regards. Who would even consider uninstalling it! Kidding, I'm the one who did it! Oops! Regards, Jeremy Chesney

July 22, 201411 yr I've been flying the 777 exclusively since its release... And you know, I'm starting to miss my NGX, which is collecting dust in a lost hangar somewhere. (It wasn't uninstalled at least! ) But... b-but... I want to fly with weather radar... Gabriel J. T. Rodrigues My mods in the library My photography (site updated!) English isn't my native language. July 22, 201411 yr To me, the NGX is like Al Bundy's ol' Dodge. There's nothing else like it. It may not have outdated technology (both the real life kind, and the FSX kind), it may not have the range, or the automation of the triple 7, but you know every quirk of it, you learned to sit in the chair in such a way that that lump in your back isn't so annoying anymore. It just fits like a glove. I didn't buy the triple 7. I am still considering it, but i don't think i'll buy it any time soon. I just like short flights more, and my computer doesn't have stellar specs, and from looking at videos of other people, while impressive, the triple 7 cockpit looks so... well... it's not quaint enough for me Cristi Neagu

When I load it up, and countdown hits zero, my satisfaction meter hits the roof when I see all these switches and knobs and hear tha most immersive soundset out there. And that is only the part before the flight. That is a very good description of the appeal of the NGX. No, you should all be lined up and shot at dawn with a blindfold on . Do we get a choice of last flight before we die, because with 3 hours to go before dawn here in the UK, I can still get in a flight on the NGX. After that I'll put the blindfold on myself. R.
