September 15, 201411 yr Updated more here : http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=79242&page=15#entry848787 General systems of FlightFactor a350 advanced: Fully custom aircraft systems (elec, hyd, air cond, ADIRU, etc.) Fully custom ECAM monitoring system with all screens and functions included Fully functional airbus style alert system with multiple status and procedural lists Fully functional interactive airbus electronic checklist system Airbus a350/a380 unique “touch screen” interfaces with dozens of screens and hundreds of functions Fully custom and unique MFD (multifunctional display) system with most of flight planning pages implemented in a new graphical interface, as well as FCU and radio backups just like on the real plane Full OIS screen system with options, ground equipment control, passenger and cargo loading, and even a full user’s manual inside the plane. Old style MCDU and fully functional aux instruments as backup. Full FBW with Highly realistic implementation of the Airbus “normal law” by QPAC – the most realistic fly-by-wire implementation for desktop flight simulation. In v1.0 an advanced flight planning interface (based on XP native data) Basic SID/STAR implementation using X-plane fms-files that you can create yourself and share with the community. "What you see is what you fly" flight path indication on the ND (i.e. curved trajectories with the turn radius properly computed based on speed and angular turn distance.) Implementation of all Airbus AP modes, except some non-precision approach modes (Selected and managed modes, speed constraints respected, "at or below" contraints in phase climb, "at or above" constraints in phase descent.) Full PFD and ND displays with fully independent display and different data sources for the captain and copilot displays. Independent autopilots Many new options like scroll wheel support for switch manipulation As usual a very advanced 3D model with HD textures and complete and animated mechanics.
September 21, 201411 yr Looks like it's coming along nicely... Intel i-9 13900KF @ 6.0 Ghz, MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X 24GB, MSI MAG CORELIQUID C360, MSI Z790 A-PRO WIFI, MSI MPG A1000G 1000W, G.SKILL 48Gb@76000 MHz DDR5, MSI SPATIUM M480 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 2TB, Windows 11 Pro Ghost Spectre x64 “We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the day and night to visit violence on those who would do us harm”.
September 21, 201411 yr It looks great but if there's no MCDU then it's no better than a fancy looking default plane. Or am I missing something here?
September 21, 201411 yr It looks great but if there's no MCDU then it's no better than a fancy looking default plane. Or am I missing something here? Yeah, you're missing something. There will definitely be a MCDU. Old style MCDU and fully functional aux instruments as backup. It seems the Pro Version will have a more complete MCDU than the advanced version.

September 21, 201411 yr Commercial Member Thanks Vincent but I wonder what they mean by "old style"? My guess is that this refers to MCDUs prior to the (real) A350. Mario Donick .:. vFlyteAir
September 21, 201411 yr You can see a WIP of the MCDU below: http://asn-xp.aerosoft.com/?page_id=11467
September 29, 201411 yr http://xplanereviews.com/index.php?/topic/222-first-impressions-airbus-a350-xwb-by-flightfactor-aero/ Having read the beta preview, I will be giving this one a pass, no sid/star support means more or less no online flying. There are dozens of "lite" aircraft available for XP, so I'll wait and see what the later "Pro" version will be like. IMHO Aerosoft have got the complexity level balance perfect with their A3xx series; just about everything that the left-seat PF does is simulated, with stuff like failures left out (that very few people use).

Well, usually you know beforehand where you will fly. So you could easily use the feature Stephen describes in his preview: So where are my SID-STARS? well there isn't any (on this version) but you can not only save the whole route to the X-Plane FMS file but also any SID and STARS you have created (as a header and footer to your route) and it is done. 1) Decide for a route you want to fly. 2) Create .fms files with the SIDs and STARs you will most likely use (you can do that for example in Plan-G, and that's really a matter of two or three minutes, and if you fly the same route more often, you only have to do it once -- in other aircraft I fly SIDs and STARs regulary simply by entering the waypoints in the default fms. No problem since X-Plane's navigation data can be regulary updated by NavDataPro or Navigraph. The waypoints are all there.) 3) Select your SID/STAR .fms file in the A350. Mario Donick .:. vFlyteAir
September 29, 201411 yr Sure Mario I get that you can do it that way, it's just that there are other a/c out there with fully-featured fms, i.e. FlightFactor's very own 757 and 777. (I don't include the JD A320 as that is not really fully-featured but you get my drift)

February 21, 201610 yr Anyone flying this aircraft? Looks pretty systems heavy typical of FF. But the FMC is a little lacking. Does X-FMC make up for it and make it worth to fly? CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
February 21, 201610 yr Anyone flying this aircraft? Looks pretty systems heavy typical of FF. But the FMC is a little lacking. Does X-FMC make up for it and make it worth to fly? I bought it and flew it a few times but due to it's lack of SID and STAR planning I deleted it. Waiting for an update from FF but don't hold your breath. I would spend your money on something else to be honest just my opinion.

Did you not try the X-FMC addon in meantime? Not sure why so many aircraft keep omitting a proper MDCU CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,
