October 17, 201411 yr Author Commercial Member hmm... this may be the reason why I avoided including "Natural" tagged landuse data to begin with... not enough details there to avoid massive 1-texture polys... unless some kind of advanced neural network software is used to discern things....Bummer!
October 17, 201411 yr Mario, how did you do for removing all default scenery stuff (specially rivers and roads)? What I did was this: 1) Get a BLN with the country shape 2) Import it into Sbuilder 3) Try to compile it... Sbuilder will give an error message after some minutes. 4) Go to Sbuilder\Tools\Work, open the .SCM file created (usually is the most recent file), open it with Notepad and wait a moment. 5) When it finally opens, paste these lines before the first line: Set( LINBUF 1024 ) Set( BUF 8192 ) Set( AREAMX 8192 ) 6) Save and close. 7) Drag and drop the SCM file to SCASM. Now it will compile. Do you have a better method? This one takes a lot of time... October 18, 201411 yr Author Commercial Member Hmmm... that's what the .BAT file does... it moves away all default BGLs simply to another folder.... just edit and replace EURW with SAME... i do not exclude per-country and that is why I release only per-continent... then there's the "OSM World 1 Core" directory. There is a "safety exclude" to obliterate all objects added by OSM world in proximity of airports... how to create this is in the how-to as well! Long story short, I move out default data instead of excluding it.... Remember excludes only kill levels below them, so if I were to exclude default data, airport polys will go too!!
October 18, 201411 yr Mario, Need a bit of a help. I just created autogen for Vancouver. Where exactly do I put the .agn files ? Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus

October 18, 201411 yr Do you have a photo scenery for Vancouver? If not, you autogen has literally no place to go.... otherwise, in [your photoscenery]/texture ... I know that. But Canada Photo Scenery is terrible especially Vancouver. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
October 18, 201411 yr Author Commercial Member I have uploaded a base QGIS file for South America (in the OSM World dropbox for Devs). https://www.dropbox.com/sh/hphc7h43gg92dy3/AAAuh4p-0I9FvR0hdDZ-3ZwEa?dl=0 Luis, you may want to get it here! I wonder if AndyPaul wants to work on something in this area
October 18, 201411 yr Way to go guys +1 ! Can't wait for more vector sceneries, especially for areas not covered by UT like South America! For the time being I am sticking with UT for Europe only because of the roads which are still too wide for my taste :(. Unfortunately I totally lack the skills to contribute or I would make them smaller myself, but your discussion is way over my head Sascha Rieger | EVO Developer What is EVO • How to get Evo 2016 • FS9 Evolution Forum
October 18, 201411 yr Thanks a lot Mario. October 19, 201411 yr Author Commercial Member Let me know with what you need help guys! Great! Since I started working on coastlines, and Luis is working roads, you may try lakes! Although I split the area in 6 sub-regions, I do not advice starting with the coastlines as they are the hardest! once you figure out lakes you can move to coastlines... I'll be working on them for now!
October 21, 201411 yr Andy there is no specific source of the script , i just googled it. I am unable to find an example script. Could you maybe post the code? Andreas Paul
October 21, 201411 yr One of the tricky things I noticed is that the Northern Part of Norway (Tromso) is not part of the EURW but of EURE. Was wondering why there are double coastlines, deactivated EURE and voila ... sneaky FS9 Andreas Paul
October 22, 201411 yr Author Commercial Member Strange... Will look into that! It may be just a few kilometers worth of overlapping maybe...! That is located just close to the border
