October 4, 201411 yr Hey. I decided that i will move step by step in the simulator. and now i want to raise the level of graphics and all the thing that around the technical issues. i would like to heard your recommendations about improving the graphics, realistic, and the flight rate. any plugin that improves the sound of aircraft operations, passengers, traffic control, safety instructions, Gate callings, flight attendants, etc.... i want to iprove the graphics of the weather, the planes, the ground, the sea, the systems, airport staff, pre-flight preparations, and the runway markings and parking. i want every airport will become real as much as possible similar to the original, just to maximize the enjoyment rate of the simulator. even if it cost money, i dont care to invest. Thank you very very much!!!

Thank you very very much!!! All of that with FSX? You can improve things in FSX and make them a little more realistic, but I think that your desires are not fully possible within the confines of FSX. My computer: ABS Gladiator Gaming PC featuring an Intel 10700F CPU, EVGA CLC-240 AIO cooler (dead fans replaced with Noctua fans), Asus Tuf Gaming B460M Plus motherboard, 16GB DDR4-3000 RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD, EVGA RTX3070 FTW3 video card, dead EVGA 750 watt power supply replaced with Antec 900 watt PSU.

People tend to forget, as well as I do, that FSX is an 8 year old piece of software (get it POS?) . In computer terms that is over 100 years old. We need to remind ourselves of this and be thankful of what we can do with it. Ric Elmore
October 6, 201411 yr Commercial Member What I'm running right now.... 1. GSX for Gate Related. It's okay. 2. Active Sky Next with REX4 Textures for weather. Major leap forward from years gone past. 3. Freeware AI Shipping Traffic, covering a lot of the United States, Canada, Europe and elsewhere. 4. About 6500 freeware (and terrific) low impact AI Aircraft models/liveries). 5. I mostly fly shared cockpit on VATSIM using the Leonardo MD-80 and Majestic Dash 8/Q400 Professional using realism based procedures (often real world manuals and procedures), so I don't bother with AI Copilot related software. 5. I have purchased a great deal of payware airports, autogen and other scenery to increase immersion. 6. Various flight planning software. It's not a Level-D simulation, but it's far more realism based than the default. Everyone of the guys I fly with (most all are pilots) have the same software as I have, and one of our guys in in commercial flight training and says that our software is far better than the simulators he's presently using (that will change as he progresses). What matters more than anything is HOW YOU FLY THE AIRCRAFT. Anyone can load up and fly a Boeing 738 at 42,000ft, but that's just unrealistic. How you operate the aircraft is going to make the biggest difference in immersion. Flying it on VATSIM is certainly going to be another major leap towards realism. Fly shared cockpit using CRM, and that will be another leap forward. Shared cockpit is certainly going to be important to flight simulation in the future... it's all about cooperative interaction. Shared cockpit is now available for X-Plane and there are several upcoming FSX releases that will have it. I've spoken to PMDG about shared cockpit for years now, and though they wavered back and forth, they've officially ended interest in implementing it with their models (real "horse to water" thing there). Anyway, I hope this helps! Dave Hodges System Specs: I9-13900KF, NVIDIA 4070TI, Quest 3, Multiple Displays, Lots of TERRIFIC friends, 3 cats, and a wonderfully stubborn wife.
October 6, 201411 yr Cant always get what you want enjoy what you have to work with. FSX is old program but it gift that keeps giving like my 15 year old fender telecaster I play off and on.

October 6, 201411 yr http://www.fsxgetstarted.com/ I don't mean to rude at all, but it's asking alot to come into a forum and ask everyone to recite years of development and progress. And for all those years, we do have quite a lot to show for it. I've played games that came out this year that have zero complexity, and besides some fancy particle effects, bore me to tears. And for all their fancy what not, I'd still rather look out the window of my legacy going over the grand canyon at sunset. Still looks better to me than anything else. Ethan Edelson
October 6, 201411 yr Best one in a long time....... Doug Pretty much "only one"! :( I just watched a video of the latest X Plane, wow, what a pile. IMHO Ric Elmore

October 7, 201411 yr Don't forget the importance of hardware to increase realism and enjoyment. The basics are yoke and rudder pedals. However, i've recently purchased the VR insight Toggle and Tact panel and the Saitek BIP panel and both have added immensely to the sim experience. Randall
October 7, 201411 yr Commercial Member To be honest, almost every add-on released for FSX over the past 8 years could be said to 'increase realism', not to mention every bit of hardware. To try and increase your level of realism across the entire simulation all at once is asking for too much; you'll spend more time researching, installing, and maintaining your fsx installation than you will flying. My recommendation is to pick an area that is the most important to you, and try to upgrade that to the best possible. Then once you've exhausted that and are ready for more, pick the next most important thing from your list. Repeat as time and money and interest allow. Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
