December 1, 201411 yr I just bought this wonderful bird tonight and I´ve only done some base training yet. But I think, it´s a great add on and I really like the look and feel of it:
December 1, 201411 yr I agree. I am glad I picked this up. Beautiful inside and out. A great addition to my virtual hangar and great shots by the way. Hirdy.
December 2, 201411 yr Great shots. Intel i-9 13900KF @ 6.0 Ghz, MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X 24GB, MSI MAG CORELIQUID C360, MSI Z790 A-PRO WIFI, MSI MPG A1000G 1000W, G.SKILL 48Gb@76000 MHz DDR5, MSI SPATIUM M480 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 2TB, Windows 11 Pro Ghost Spectre x64 “We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the day and night to visit violence on those who would do us harm”.
December 2, 201411 yr Those are beautiful screen shots and I agree completely. I'm really loving my 747. It would be much better, if iFly would put some user friendly button, switch and knob manipulators and quit using that stupid (+) (-) system with those clumsy click-spots that don't even fall in the correct places. For those of us that use TrackIR, their system of switch manipulation really stinks. It is so awkward. That said, I can deal with it because this is an outstanding simulation of the 747, with beautiful texturing, both inside and out. I set up my different views in Opus so I can handle the switches and knobs straight on. That makes it a little easier. Over all, iFly has created an outstanding and beautiful 747 that is worth every penny. It really has a large and heavy feel to it, which I love. December 2, 201411 yr What's the FPS like in comparison to something like the NGX? I'm looking to get it... Philip LaBianca _____________________ "I think, therefore I am."
December 2, 201411 yr Thanks guys! The clickspots could be improved on some switches or could be replaced by the possibility to manipulate the switch by using the mouse wheel. But that's not a big deal for me. The simulation is very deep and the look and feel (especially hand flying) of it is so immersive. You really feel like sitting on top of everything and handling a very heavy plane! ;-) FPS wise, I'd say that it is on par or slightly worse than with the NGX on my system. I only did a few touch and goes and ground handling tests in it yet. In quite heavy weather (overcast clouds, heavy winds) and on and around an Aerosoft Airport, I got 18-25 fps and 22-30 fps (externally locked with NI) further up in the air. I haven't had the opportunity to test its intelligent cruise feature yet (comparable to PMDG's auto cruise), but I am sure that will work just as flawless as everything else in this remarkable release!
