Lockheed Martin VS Dovetail Games ?

We gonna shake this bone a lot more, or move on?

Actually this thread would benefit greatly by being closed. The idea of comparing a entertainment product with a simulation product isn't very productive and just seems to bring out the worst in people.

Mman, As has been said before, P3D primarily has performance and graphical enhancements over FSX.  A lot of people flying a Captain Sim in P3D think that they are genuine flight simmers, but somebody flying the Q400 in FSX is playing Space Invaders.  So if we can dispense with the armchair lawyer bs, and talk about the actual function of the simulators themselves, and not the licensing differences, then I don't think the discussion is invalid just because some insist that FSX and P3D are two completely different things, apples and oranges. They aren't, at least not yet.  When we start seeing ultra hardcore stuff exclusive for P3D, and not available or possible in FSX, then the discussion can change.

& there we go again..

It is not productive repeating all the same crud all over again.

Yes, it has been said before, many, many times. Not again.. PLEASE.

Most aerospace or defence contractors will not bother with P3D when more advanced and modern simulation visualization platforms exists such as http://www.diamondvisionics.com/index.php/products/genesis-rtx/ and http://www.agi.com/products/stk/.  We should be grateful the LM has chosen to cater to the shoe-string budgeted commercial (and enthusiest) simulation market segment.
