Lockheed Martin VS Dovetail Games ?

I don't qualify for Academic (or Professionals version for that matter)

Actually and at risk of breaching the memorandum on EULA discussions; i would imagine that you do meet the requirements for the "Professional" license.  One of the listed uses is "Simulation".

And once again, back to EULA's.

Guys, you do know this is not the place for these discussions.

Can we get back to topic please..

Wow, just stay with FSX then.

Exactly, LOL. Now we'll hear from Mr. FS 2004, claiming how great P3D is!!!

What?

I wasn't commenting on if the poster should move to P3D or stay on FSX, frankly i don't care.  I was pointing out that on the P3D website licensing section one of the uses listed of the "Professional" edition was Simulation, that's all.

Not sure what your point is?

I think he got the wrong end of the stick with your comment, Ian. Not sure how though, as it was perfectly clear to me.

We all know what you mean by pointing out the word "simulation". You can also use the word "education" the same way.

Yeah...curiously i meant...'simulation'...you know "the act or process or simulation".  I thought that anybody and everybody would have been able to understand that, without reading some deeper meaning not intended or warranted.

Still doesn't explain your cryptic comment "just stay with FSX"?  When have I indicated i was moving?  I am not loyal to any simulator, if X-Plane was better i would move tomorrow without a second thought, same with P3D, Flightgear etc..

The only reason i am holding out on P3D (not that it's any of your business) is lack any compelling reason to move over, if / when they develop a 64-bit simulator i'll be over in a shot, same if Dovetail develop one.

The description that describes my use of FSX is "Personal Consumer Entertainment"; which is why I said I don't qualify for P3D. I'm not complaining, just making a statement of fact.

Jim, this is becoming VERY tiresome now..

We do not have to justify to anyone as to what & why we buy.

Let's stop waving big sticks & get on with our hobby/obsession.

I agree 100%. On the same token why should I always have to explain why I can't buy?

Then why are certain people trying to convince others that they fit certain categories when obviously they don't?

Please also note that I have not made a single comment about what anyone uses for their software.

Can't/won't what's the difference.

Who really cares, either way.

There are far too many tarnished hall's here during this season of goodwill.

We gonna shake this bone a lot more, or move on?
